A long drive and a big day. Would like to have had more time in Sheki. Our driver was excellent, and our guide Nazir was humerus, entertaining and very informative, making the day very enjoyable. Big thanks to all!
Our hotel pickup never showed so we missed out on the experience. Tried contacting the Smile Tour company but no response.
The tour was not worth the price. Almost nothing was included—not even a bottle of water. It also skipped the sweet shop that was mentioned, which was disappointing. Instead, we were taken to some of the most expensive food stops, making the trip even more costly. The only positive part of the experience was our guide, Rasim. He was friendly, helpful, and did his best throughout the tour. Unfortunately, that alone wasn't enough to make the tour worthwhile. I would not recommend this tour.
The driver never showed up from Smile Azerbaijan Tours. We attempted to call and message them prior to the trip but they did not respond. When we visited tour office, they claimed there was no booking from Trip Advisor. They offered us a free trip somewhere else for the mistake, but we declined. Wasted day.
This tour company was a complete disappointment. They never showed up for the scheduled tour, and I received no communication or explanation. As a result, I wasted my entire day waiting. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. If reliability is important to you, I suggest choosing a different tour operator.
I was not communicated at all. They canceled the tour and never told me. On the day of the trip no one came and I was told there were road work which is a lie because other companies did the tour like baku herritage which highly recommand! The company offered me a "free" tour to gubaston but i had to pay 55 azn for fees. The company isnt good.
Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that our Sheki route is different from some other companies that travel directly to Sheki. Our itinerary includes several regions and stops along the way, which makes the route longer and more dependent on road and weather conditions. Due to unfavorable conditions on the day of your tour, we informed you that the excursion could not operate as planned. In such situations, we offered an alternative tour to Gobustan, which you accepted as a compensation option. Regarding entrance fees, this information was communicated to you in the morning in advance. These tickets are not included in the tour price, as we cannot pre-purchase them without knowing exactly which museums or sites each guest will choose to enter. We appreciate your understanding and remain committed to improving our communication and service quality. Best regards, Smile Azerbaijan Tour
The guides and driver are hard-working people. Up with us from 7am to 11pm. The transportation is good and so is the itinerary
Hello! Thank you for your review. Hope to see you again! 😊
It's a long day but well worthwhile. Shamaki & Sheki are excellent. Lunch at Gerebe was perfect. Great location. If you have the time, stay in these locations for a day or two. Guide was okay.
Hello! Thank you for your review. Hope to see you again😊
Pick up was on time, as agreed. The van was old, uncomfortable seats that slant forward, so you struggle not to slide from your seat. Long periods of driving ; short stops in which you’re pressured to buying something wildly overpriced. Did not stop at Gel Lake, as promissed. The lunch stop was imsultingly expensive: twice the price of the best restaurants in Baku, for lackluster food. No free time in Shekhi; herded like cattle at all times. “English” tour ended up being in three different languages mixed.. The guide was kind and helpful but the tour structure is so that you are not the tour agency’s client, but their product. Would not book again.
Thank you for your feedback. We would like to note that this route is a long-distance tour, and scheduled stops are included along the way to ensure guests can rest, stretch, and travel more comfortably. Regarding language, all our tours are clearly described as potentially operating in 2 or even 3 languages, depending on the composition of the group on that day. As for lunch stops, we always take guests to selected restaurants that meet proper hygiene and quality standards. Prices at such locations may differ from average city restaurants, as they are chosen for quality and service rather than budget-only options. We appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration as we continue improving our service. Best regards, Smile Azerbaijan Tour
The guide allowed us to maximize the destinations. Sheki, for her charm, deserves an overnight stay.
