Great Experience, Flynn was a great captain with a wealth of knowledge about the local area and Taylor was a great first mate who made sure we were well fed and watered. Was also happy to take happy snaps for us. The Junk was easy to access and travel on and the scenery spectacular including crocodile sitting. Would thoroughly recommend
My friends and I opted for the drink and snacks sunset cruise. The crew were friendly and cruise along the tidal inlet interesting. The snacks were tasty and plentiful.
The boat was amazing, well worth the money for the experience of sailing on such a unique boat. The Snacks were nice enough. We were extremely lucky to have a great weather and a beautiful sunset. The staff were lovely and very organised. I wouldn't recommend to older people unless you are steady on your feet or happy to stay in the cabin.
An okay cruise. Average finger foods provided. Nice cold beers 🍺🍺 were the highlight 😊. The squabs to sit on were too thin and hard on the backside 🤣😂.
We had a lovely time even though the weather did not come to the party. Skipper and deckie were first rate and worked very hard to ensure we enjoyed. One suggestion is to have a speaker on the front deck so people sitting outside can hear the commentary.
Quite dissapointing. Didn't get to see sunset , or go out to the coral sea, as wind apparently too strong. Common theme i believe. Only one choice of beer and limited other selections of drinks , snacks were very disappointing also. I'd advise people to pick the catamaran evening cruise
We didn't get to see the sunset as it was apparently too rough to go out to sea. There is another boat, a catamaran, that goes out to sea most of the time, and we saw it go out as we turned back down the estuary. We would recommend that one in preference to this. The on-board service was OK, but despite informing them in advance that we were vegetarian, they served us dim-sims with meat in them.
The boat is nice for something different and the staff look after you, but it did not sail out into the Coral sea due to it being a bit windy. The sails did not go up either. We sailed up and down the estuary very slowly, which is what we did on their sister boat a few days earlier on the crocodile cruise. They do say in their booking information that they won’t sail out to sea if a little rough, so if you want to ensure that you see the sunset properly, you’ll need to book on one of the catamaran vessels which will go out even if windy. This was a big disappointment for us and we felt like we had chosen the wrong boat, as we turned around when the Sailaway boat continued out to sea, so please be aware of its limitations when booking this experience.
We were well looked after on a beautiful boat. The operators took good care of is, and were a lot of fun.
We absolutely loved this cruise, great crew, snacks and drinks, saw a crocodile and a reasonable sunset 😁
