We had an amazing experience on The Shadows of Sin City Tour. Alan was extremely friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. He explained every story in a very clear, engaging, and captivating way, making the history of Las Vegas come alive. The tour lasted about two hours, and it was very interesting from beginning to end. The stories were fascinating, full of historical details, and presented in a way that kept our attention the entire time. Alan clearly has a passion for the subject, and that made the experience even more special. Anyone who enjoys history, intriguing stories, and learning more about the darker side of Las Vegas will not regret booking this tour. We highly recommend it!
The tour guide was very informative. Loved the the extra touches with photos. Great ghosts stories. Definitely recommend it.
Walk thru old Las Vegas. Learn the history about the the area before the casinos. Learned a lot of spooky stories of the area
Be prepared to walk. But, totally worth it! The tour was very informative and gave an historical guide to how Las Vegas began. In addition, the ghost stories, tied in to all the history, which made it more interesting and informative.
It was a crazy windy day and there was only 2 of us on the tour- Mitch, our guide, went above and beyond with the tour We learned alot of history and would definitely recommend it to others
Great tour guide , very engaging and informative. We went to many places I’ve never seen before. Fun time.
Enjoyed the guide - engaging raconteur with a great knowledge of local history. Really gave us a good feel for the changes & growth of Las Vegas over the years - so much so that for at least the first 1/2 of tour, we felt we were on a historical tour. Didn't really focus on ghosts & hauntings until about 1/2 through tour and then some of the ghost stories were very nebulous. Example: we were told repeatedly which casino was the most haunted.... but not why. Noted that there have been many sightings & experiences recorded but no stories. Who are the ghosts supposed to be? What caused the ghosts to remain? Nope, just that it's very haunted. (And we came out of that casino reeking of cigarette smoke.) It would have also helped to have more easily viewed graphics when referring to historic pictures - have had other tours use binder of 8x10s or even a large tablet. Biggest negative was, despite the online tour description, we weren't taken back to our starting point (where we parked). In fact, we were left on the other side of the Fremont District, had to ask the guide for directions which were quick and meant for people familiar with the area, and then made our way alone past some rather dodgy sites, sights & people that made us feel rather unsafe. Also didn't care to be reminded more than once that 5-star reviews were appreciated. Been on many ghost tours in US & Canada - this was only about average in comparison.
The guide was rude and monotone, spoke while walking so much went unheard. We go on ghost walks on all our vacations, this was by far the worst.
Literally not even two hours before my tour was supposed to begin, I'm sitting and waiting at the meeting location for the tour to start then I get a text from them saying that they aren't doing the tour tonight as I am the only one who booked the tour. Like, setiously? I had wasted $25 on ubers to get there, then they're wanting me to waste another $25 on ubers to go there and back again. I chose not to reschedule as I didn't have time at any point within the rest of my vacation to do this tour. I had selected this time and day for a reason. If I had wanted Friday or Saturday, I would've selected Friday or Saturday as my original booking. Today was the best day for me just in the way that everything else laid out and was most beneficial for me. But no. Can't do it now, cause they don't wanna send a text around noon to people saying, "Hey, you're our only person for the tour tonight. Don't show up to the meeting point unless we say you should so you don't waste your time." But no. Getting a refund, but it doesn't replace the $25 I wasted on ubers.
Our guide was nice and informative on history but not much ghost story to the trip. Long walk to see a few historic sites, but not exactly what was advertised. Your guide even mentioned it several times. This is “more of a history tour.”
