Itinéraire
Commencez votre promenade au marché Rovinj sur la place Valdibora. Il suffit d'ouvrir Ciceru à proximité pour commencer à explorer les stands en plein air et le cadre riverain, où le commerce, la couleur et l'air salin définissent encore le rythme de la ville.
Prenez place devant la façade rouge du palais Califfi et observez ses fenêtres baroques et ses détails de pierre, une ancienne résidence noble qui ancre maintenant la place de l'extérieur.
Arrêtez-vous sous l'arc de Balbi et levez les yeux vers les faces en pierre sculptée et le Lion de Saint Marc, la porte cérémonielle qui contrôlait autrefois l'entrée de la ville insulaire.
Traversez la Piazza Matteotti et admirez les façades pastel et la vue sur le port, une place construite sur une terre récupérée sur la mer lorsque Rovinj a cessé d'être une île.
Montez sur la rue Grisia et admirez son pavé de pierre abrupt, ses fenêtres à volets et ses façades bordées de galeries, un couloir extérieur où art et vie quotidienne se confondent.
Levez les yeux vers le clocher de Sainte-Euphémie et observez sa forme d'inspiration vénitienne et sa statue tournante, un repère visible de presque n'importe où en ville.
Tenez-vous sur les rochers de Monte Beach et admirez le contraste entre la pierre, la mer et l'église au-dessus, un bord brut où la vieille ville rencontre l'Adriatique.
Regardez les sections restantes des anciens murs de la ville et remarquez comment les maisons sont construites directement dans les fortifications, transformant la défense en architecture quotidienne.
Terminez votre visite sur la promenade Riva. Prenez un moment pour profiter du front de mer, des façades serrées et de l’endroit où le passé insulaire de Rovinj a finalement rencontré le continent avant de terminer votre promenade.

The self guided tour depends completely on wifi. I’d the connection us poor you’re our luck. In addition the others that I paid for couldn’t connect to the you’re.. it was a complete wast of time
Thank you, Barry! The tours run in the browser and need a live connection, so a weak signal breaks them, and that is a limitation on our side rather than anything you did wrong. We are working on preloading the audio and maps so a poor connection does not stop the walk. The narrator obviously knew nothing about the city, and even mispronounced Rovinj throughout the tour. He was just trying to read from a script. That was a real turnoff. It would have been much more interesting for me, if the narrator was native to the city and knew what they were talking about.
Thank you, Michael! Mispronouncing the name of the city is a fair thing to be annoyed by, and you're right that the narration is generated rather than recorded by a local. We're correcting the Rovinj pronunciation and going back through the script for the places where it reads flat. App didn’t work after the first stop. Shame. Town was beautiful and worth visiting. They need to sort

The tour was OK. I felt there was a lot of information at each stop and some of it was repetitive. It was nice that you could speed up the recording when listening. Overall I would recommend as you did get to walk around and hear the history. Personally we felt we only needed to purchase one tour for our small family of 4 and did not need to purchase per person.

This is a great self guided tour. We enjoyed being able to tour at our own pace, and we learned fascinating details and facts. If we hadn’t done this tour, we would have missed important sites. My suggestion to the developers is to tweak the apps user interface, especially when toggling between the chapters and directions. I ended up having to go back to the email with the link many times. Also the narrator pronounced “Rovinj” a few different ways throughout. All in all a great app and we would happily do it again.
