Sedona Stargazing was a fantastic experience!
This was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done! I have always loved astronomy and I thought this would be a fun thing to do on our trip to Sedona. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. They had about 8 large telescopes and there were 6 people per telescope. We all had plenty of time to view through the telescopes. We saw a binary star, star cluster, nebula and the moon. The highlight for me was viewing Saturn. Seeing Saturns rings and 5 of its orbiting moons was something I’ll never forget! I learned a lot and it was an amazing experience!

Saturn and Galaxy Amazing
Guides were very knowledgeable and the telescopes provided a great view of the stars. The guide needed a microphone or other equipment to amplify the explanation - very difficult to hear.

What a Sky!
If you're looking for a memorable night under the stars, this tour is absolutely worth it! As part of our girls trip, we thought we were signing up to look at a few stars. Instead, we got an evening that made us feel both incredibly small and completely amazed at the same time.
The hosts were fantastic. They were incredibly knowledgeable and had a way of explaining things that kept everyone engaged, even those of us who couldn't tell a constellation from an airport runway. Their passion for astronomy was contagious, and they made the whole experience fun, interesting, and easy to follow.
The highlight of the night was getting to see Saturn through the telescope. Seeing those rings with my own eyes was one of those "Wait... that's REAL?" moments. It felt like being back in science class, except this time with friends, laughter, and significantly better life choices than our college years.
The sky was absolutely breathtaking, and there was something special about standing out there with friends, looking up at millions of stars while trying to remember which constellation was which. We learned a lot, laughed even more, and left with a whole new appreciation for the night sky.
If you're visiting the area, don't miss this tour. Between the knowledgeable hosts, the incredible views of the stars, and the chance to see Saturn up close, it was an unforgettable experience and one of the standout memories from our girls trip. ✨🌙🔭💫👯♀️

Not great!
I’m not really sure why this place gets high ratings. It’s not worth the cost of admission. The pickup location is great, the guide was great but no structure. Don’t expect to sit down and get guided to stars or planets. If you do it’s because some asked. When asked usually the question is not heard and the guide just starts talking about it. Don’t expect nice chairs when you arrive they are old and they stink. Our arm chair had a broken arm rest. The guide we had knows a lot! Great voice for it too. He just needed to talk and show, then ask for questions. I also feel that the location although dark still gets too much light for the surrounding area to really appreciate it.

We believe this review was posted to the wrong business. The experience described does not reflect Sedona Stargazing or the service we provide.
Sedona Stargazing is a family-owned and operated company with 24 years in business. Our experience is a fully guided astronomy program led by a professional astronomer, using a laser pointer to interpret the night sky, with multiple telescope assistants helping guests throughout the tour and ensuring everyone has the opportunity to clearly view the featured celestial objects.
We are proud to have earned TripAdvisor Hall of Fame recognition and more than 2,000 five-star reviews, and to have been featured by National Geographic, The New York Times, the Arizona Republic, and Sedona Magazine.
Given how substantially this review differs from the experience we actually provide, we do not believe it describes our company. We have asked Viator to investigate and verify that this review was intended for Sedona Stargazing.

Last minute cancellation and rude on phone
I called at 3 in the afternoon as it was a cloudy day and was spoken to like I wa a kid-" you don't need to worry about the weather..we have scientists that watch...you will receive a mssg by 5pm"
Around 5pm we get instructions that we will meet and where for 8:30pm
At 8:10 pm they cancel. I knew at 3 this wasn't going to happen.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you were frustrated by the timing of the weather cancellation.
We do want to clarify how our weather process works. Stargazing conditions can change considerably over the course of an afternoon and evening, particularly in Northern Arizona. We therefore do not make cancellation decisions based simply on how cloudy it appears several hours before a tour. Our team monitors multiple professional weather and astronomical forecasting sources and makes every effort to give the night a chance to clear rather than cancel prematurely.
Unfortunately, on this evening the conditions ultimately deteriorated and we determined that we could not provide the quality of experience our guests expect. Once that became clear, the tour was cancelled.
We do agree that the communication you received should always be courteous and respectful. If our explanation at 3:00 PM came across as dismissive, that was not our intention, and we will address that with our staff.
After 24 years of operating stargazing tours in Sedona, weather remains the one element we cannot control. Our goal is always to balance giving guests the best possible opportunity to experience the night sky with making a cancellation as soon as we are confident conditions will not allow us to deliver the experience we promise.
