Learn about Prague's history

We had booked a tour with Klara, she was friendly and very accommodating. Everything fit and we learned a lot of new things. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Klara again for everything going so smoothly. I can absolutely recommend the tour to this organizer.

Very knowledgeable

Karla was a very knowledgeable guide, she was full of insight about Prague and WW11 history. We would highly recommend and encourage you to join this tour. It’s a great way to explore parts of the City that one may miss otherwise.

Dear Sharon, thank you so much for joining me for both WW2 Tour and Communism & Bunker Tour the next day. You were such a lovely company and you actually knew a lots of history already, so it makes me happy that you have still learnt something new. I wish you all the best and maybe see you in Prague next time and we will cover the medieval stuff this time. You have my number ;) Kind regards, Klara Hajkova

Excellent World War Two Tour

My husband and I booked this tour and met Klara by the Powder Tower. We were the only two on the tour which made it a very personalised tour. Klara was so friendly and amazing, her knowledge and passion for the history was first class. It was fascinating to hear so much about the Prague resistance fighters, and learn about Operation Anthropoid - which I knew very little about. It was a very moving and emotional visit to the National Memorial to the Heroes of the Heydrich Terror. Klara also does other tours and when we next come back to Prague we will definitely be booking another one with her. Thank you Klara

A fun, informative two hours

Klara was so knowledgeable about the subject! It was great to spend a day learning about WWII and Operation Anthropoid. We went down many interesting streets, where she pointed out to us art pieces, memorials, and important places from Czech history. She answered all our questions. The crypt at Sts Cyril and Methodius was amazing and Klara was able to give us so much more information than the museum would have. We would have missed out on so much if not for this tour!!

Hello History is my passion - especially the recent history because my grandparents and parents have lived through it... And it is also my passion to share it with the others, especially if they are curious souls like you. Thank you very much for joining me for the WW2 Tour and writing such amazing review. Best regards, Klara founder & guide

Very interesting

I’m a WW2 geek and I learned things I hadn’t heard before! We were the only group that booked which made the tour a lot more personal. We could ask any question and Klara would have an answer for us. You see parts of the city you would otherwise miss out of.

Excellent tour of Prague's WW2 history

The two of us were the only people on the tour this day which made for a terrific personalised experience. Most people were wandering around the heaving christmas markets! Clara was an excellent tour guide, clearly explaining the background to events that took place in Prague and the wider country during WW2 Beginning at the powder tower, we visited a number of key sites, then heading for St Wenceslas Square and then onto St Cyril's church. Clara kept us engaged and interested throughout and explained what could be a dry subject in a clear and engaging way Having done a more expensive but disappointing WW2 tour on a previous visit to Prague, we were relieved that this tour was far more informative and enjoyable. Clara had many fascinating stories to tell. Highly recommended if you are visiting this wonderful city

Hello, thank you for your time writing such a good feedback for my WW2 Tour, we did together last week. I put this walk together according to my deep interest in recent history and it makes me happy that you appreciated this topic more than rushing around the Christmas markets. Thank you for highlighting that we covered the key places (Powder Tower, Republic Square, Wenceslas Square, a crypt of the church of Sts Constant and Method) and that you've learnt much more than on your previous visit... I wish you happy holidays and all the best in 2020. Kind regards, Klara Hajkova, founder & guide

Interesting tour

We met our WW2 guide Clara at the Powder Gate, our group had only two other guests, so it was easy to ask Clara any questions on our tour. Clara was full of many interesting and fascinating facts about World War 2, taking us to key locations, such as the Jewish Quarter, the Old Town, Wenceslas Square and where Czech soldiers were hiding out in the crypt of St Cyril after assassinating Reinhard Heydrich, the leader of the SS in Prague. The tour was very moving and left us reflecting on the bravery of the ordinary Czech people that rose up against the Nazi occupation of Prague. We would not hesitate in booking another tour with Prague Extravaganza. Many thanks
