Enjoyed the talk story and wood carving demo/lessons with Willy. He highlighted the history of wood carving that led to tiki creation. The tiki eyes tell the purpose! Highly recommend all the activities at the Wonderful World of Aloha including Zumba!
Mahalo nui for joining us, and for taking the time to review your visit. We appreciate the support and look forward to your next visit! A hui hou!
Very informative. Thought there would be more of a demonstration. More talk than showing.
Mahalo for your feedback, we apologize the experience did not meet your expectations. We will pass your thoughts on to Uncle Vili.
It was a really great presentation, and informative. The gentleman was very nice. We really enjoyed it.
Aloha! Mahalo for you review. We’re so happy you enjoyed Uncle Vili’s wood carving demonstration! We hope to see you again on your next visit. A hui hou!
This was so much fun and I absolutely love my bracelet I made. You learn all about the history of the materials you are using and the history of the bracelets.
Aloha, and thank you for visiting us and participating in our class. We love sharing the culture Hawai’i. Mahalo nui.
Fun enjoyable afternoon. Loved it. Learned a lot about the culture of Maui. A very enjoyable afternoon with family. Lots of memories made.
Thank you for visiting and supporting our center. We appreciate the support. Weʻre happy you enjoyed your experience. Aloha!
We loved the experience and we really enjoyed learning more about the island and tikis. Lovely chatting with everyone. We took time to walk through the gallery - very well displayed. The class was very informative with lots of history. We had the opportunity to woord carve the outlines of a larger tiki. We would give the five stars, but the posting on trip advisor was misinformed which was a little disappointing. The class does not include a hand-carved keepsake - which we were looking forward to. If you are interested in learning history and traditions definitely check this place out!!
Aloha, Mahalo for the kind review and we apologize for the incorrect statement regarding a keepsake. This was our first post when we initially launched the activity and should have been edited some time ago. We are grateful you still enjoyed the experience and took time to give us a review. Please accept our appologizes and again Mahalo for supporting our center.
This felt like a rare opportunity to get to see and be a part of amazing and beautiful work that goes into carving. Along with the carving we felt like part of the family, listening to history in the stories that were told. Everyone involved was down to earth and easy to talk to.
Aloha Jonathan. Thank you for the kind words. Uncle Vili is a excellent carver and a fun story teller and happy you enjoyed your time with us. We appreciate that you chose to visit and support our center. Mahalo nui loa.
