This might have been the best food tour we have been on!! Our guide Danny was so much fun, so knowledgeable and excited to share his culture, history, food, drink, and home with us. 10/10 would recommend
So much good food for the cost, easy walks between destinations, tour guide was very friendly and shared A LOT of information about history and culture of PR. Old San Juan is beautiful and we had a great experience with Leslie Ann!
Diego gave us the best tour! Excellent authentic food! Diego gave us fun facts and history about San Juan and Puerto Rico. He got us to love PR on our 1st trip!
We had a terrific time on Raiza’s food tour. Not only was the food delicious — we’ll be thinking about that plantain soup for a while — but it was also a wonderful way to learn about the history and present of a vibrant culture and people. Raiza was so knowledgeable and easy to talk to. We are vegetarian and they were able to accommodate us and had fantastic substitutes. Highly recommend!
This was a really well thought out experience. Nahiomy was so knowledgeable and friendly. We saw so much and ate a lot! Well worth it.
Carola's food tour of Old San Juan was the highlight of our visit to SJ. She was super knowledgeable, both about the food and the history of PR, and just a really lovely tour guide overall. Not to mention, the water was out in the entire city the day we had our tour, meaning many restaurants - including at least one regular stop on the tour - were closed. She was able to pivot to places that had both food and bathrooms (important!) when many places were closed. We didn't feel like we we missed out on anything because of the changes and it really felt seamless to us. Highly recommend.
It as an excellent tour. The three hours went quickly and we loved learning more about San Juan, PR.

We had a lovely time. Carola was awesome! We appreciated her historical fun facts. I was slightly worried about taking my 11 and 15 year old boys on the tour (as their usual fare is chicken nuggets) but they ate pretty much everything! We actually went back to Quattro Sombras the next morning for breakfast. We would have never found it if we didn’t do the tour. The ending flan was delicious and a favorite of our group! Making mofongo at the table and hearing the history behind it was also amazing and the food was tasty!
Hearing your whole family, including your 11 and 15-year-olds, enjoyed trying new flavors makes us smile! 😊 We're thrilled Carola helped create such a memorable experience, and we love that you returned to Cuatro Sombras for breakfast.
