We had such a great experience today. Ryan was a great guide and kept us laughing. The kids enjoyed it and we saw so much wildlife. Already looking to book at Rainbow River next! Highly recommend.
We first went on this adventure in July of 2025. It was a last minute adventure that my wife found. I was a bit skeptical given that she found it on what looked to me like a sketchy site. When we first arrived we were looking for the place to meet our guide and saw a large group lining up for kayaks. we joined in line only to find out that this was another company and were told to go back to another area about 100 yards away. We did and saw two guys who looked like guides and only 6 kayaks (there were four of us). I was immediately groaning internally thinking we got some unpopular small company. But having already paid and figuring that kayaking is kayaking we went along. What a GREAT decision that was because this was the BEST adventure we had on our whole FL vacation. I will just say this first to get it out of the way. The location, scenery, wildlife and water were incredible but we would have experienced that regardless of the company we went with. What we would not have gotten with any other company was Brad Mullins, likely the most amazing guide we have ever experienced on any guided tour we have been on. His knowledge and recall of information about the river, from ecology, to history, from legends to science was spectacular. He was funny, personable and made us feel like we had been family all our lives. I HIGHLY recommend this tour and are already planning our return this coming summer. UPDATE: We just went a second time (August 2026), were able to schedule our trip with Brad as guide, and the experience was even better than last year! Our meet up was exactly the same. NOTE: before you meet Brad you have to go hut and pay for your park passes (separate fee from Sassy's and is $4 per adult). Once that is paid the guide will direct you to select your kayak and then you will carry it down to the ramp (about 100-200 feet) and then you are off and running. The water is crystal clear throughout the whole trip enabling you to see clearly to the bottom even in the deepest spots which are over 30 feet deep. This trip we saw 8 manatees, many alligators, tons of monkeys, a river otter, and so many other wildlife sightings we could not keep track. We will do this every time we come to Orlando and HIGHLY recommend this.
What an incredible experience this guided tour was! The wildlife and beautiful scenery was only elevated by our tour guide’s expansive knowledge of the area, animals and history of Silver Springs (thank you again rad Brad!!). If you’re looking for a memorable experience and fun things to do in the area, this is definitely something you have to check out.
Brad was an amazing, knowledgeable, and charitable guy. We lucked out to be his only group for the morning. We were able to enjoy the river peacefully and got to see many amazing creatures of the wild. Thank you Brad for sharing your knowledge with us.
Sassy’s is an outstanding company and Brad is a fantastic tour guide. So knowledgeable and experienced, he was amazing with the kids and we learned so much. Highly recommend this tour and especially ask for Brad if you really want to learn about the area. Will definitely be back

Ryan was EXCELLENT!! We had a 3pm tour set up and it ended up being just myself, my husband and our 2 girls. We were able to slowly enjoy the springs, ask question and even hang out with “Devine” as she grazed in a little cove. Ryan was very knowledgeable and the tour was amazing. He not only took picture of what we saw on the way, he did a family photo for us and sent it to us. We saw manatee, alligators, turtles and right as we finished up saw a monkey. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone! We went in July (off season for master) but hopefully we we are back in the winter we can go again and see more!
Pipi is a knowledgeable and nice guide! We saw a lot of animals under her guidance like monkeys, alligators, and even a manatee in July. The tour lasted a bit beyond 2.5 hours. We learned a lot of interesting knowledge such as the history of Silver Spring and wildlife animals. It was definitely a worthy experience in summer Florida, and I recommend everyone to try!
Brad was amazing, so knowledgeable about everything out there. All our teen boys loved it and want to go back and do another trip out with him.
