Best boat trip we have done so far. Lots of shade at the upper deck and the lower deck is great as well with the „pirate of the Caribbean“soundtrack while watching the cliffs and fishes next to Thirasia. Very nice helpful crew. Remember to Bring good shoes. The walk to the Vulcano is with lots of pebbles and some slippery parts to walk on. Have a small backpack to bring water up the vulcano as it’s quiet hot up there. (Bring it with you or buy cold water, ice tea or Softdrinks at the boat) Love the tour. All in all perfect. My kids enjoyed it a lot. Enjoy!
We’re thrilled you enjoyed the tour! Your review means a lot to us.
Honestly, it's not worth it; while it's nice to see the island from the sea, like Oia, Fira, etc., we didn't like the rest. You arrive at the volcano island, walk to see 'nothing', then they take you to the hot springs area, they leave you far away, you have to swim there, you arrive and in 5 minutes you have to swim back to the boat (don't even try it if you can't swim or aren't in decent shape), then they stop so you can see the crystal bottom... what do you see? Nothing... three stones that look better from the edge of the boat. Then they drop you off on an island that is quite ugly compared to how beautiful Santorini is. They recommend a place to eat, expensive and not worth it (there are other nicer options). You return to the boat... they tell you that you are going to see the sunset, but in reality, they take you by bus, leaving you 3 hours early in Oia... in short, very 'cheap tour'.
Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that the volcano stop is designed for guests to visit the volcano of Santorini, experience the unique volcanic landscape, and see the craters while listening to the historical commentary from our guide. Regarding the hot springs, our description notes that the boat must anchor outside the bay due to the shallow waters. As safety is our top priority, guests must be confident swimming in open water to reach the area safely. As for Thirassia, this is simply a two-hour free-time stop where guests are welcome to walk, swim, or eat at their own leisure, with no obligation to visit any specific venue. Finally, as clearly stated in our tour description, the transfer to Oia for the sunset is conducted by bus.
In useless glass background nothing is visible even a fish. Be careful the agency does not tell you that the visit of the volcano is extra charge. What's wrong?
We are sorry to hear that you were dissapointed by the experience. The extra fee that you payed at the volcano is not a tour fee but a volcano entrance fee that is mentioned clearly as a non included in the price. This fee is for every tourist who goes on the volcano and not from our company. Also, about the glass bottom on our boat, here in Santorini the waters are deep and we can show the sea bottom only on specific places as we do when we go above a reef during the tour.
Very nice boat tourthe staff is very friendly and helpful, describing the various points very nicely, and very clear about meeting points and times at each of the 4 stops. The views from the upper deck are magnificent, islands, boats, the beautiful white Santorini houses look magnificent. The swimming is very nice. The lower deck has glass bottom to see the water that really shows the boat speed and the depth of the water and sea floor at the stop where the water is crystal clear. Snorkeling at Thirasia at the stop place near the restaurant is very beautiful, crystal clear waters, saw hundreds of fish (must bring swimming goggles and swim shoes because there are small rocks instead of sand). Saw white fish (larger, maybe 10 inch long, some 2 inch) with gray lines or gray dots grazing on the rocks, smaller orange and black fish (4 inch), small green fish (4 inch), long pencil like fish (25 inch long, 1cm wide) that stay very still then start wiggling and swim a little then stand very still, it was a very nice surprise to see, all fish within 10 meters of the restaurant's wall where the water is less cold and less deep. The meeting point for the boat tour is at the Old Port, not accessible by car, only by cable car (10 euros each way), by donkey (6 euro each way) or by hundreds of stairs between the cliff top and the sea level (easy steps, small, not tall steps). The views of all islands, especially of the Santorini cliffs and white buildings are absolutely spectacular. We took the day boat tour, not the evening tour, and it was 5 hour and a half.
Although the places are lovely, the disappointment came from the lack of kindness of the crew and the dirty and smelly bathrooms.
