Profitez d'une excursion d'une journée complète à la découverte de l'intérieur et du littoral de l'île de Santiago, la meilleure façon de découvrir la culture, l'histoire et les paysages du Cap-Vert. Après le ramassage du matin, rendez-vous à São Domingos, Órgãos et Picos pour admirer des montagnes impressionnantes. Poursuivez votre route vers la ville d'Assomada pour visiter le marché local et découvrir la vie quotidienne insulaire. Faites une halte à Boa Dentro pour admirer le plus grand et le plus vieux arbre du Cap-Vert, le kapokier âgé de 700 ans. Visitez le parc naturel de Serra Malagueta pour admirer des vues à couper le souffle depuis 1 000 mètres d'altitude. Rendez-vous à Tarrafal pour explorer le camp de concentration historique, vous détendre sur la plage de Tarrafal et profiter d'un moment de baignade et d'un déjeuner. L'après-midi, longez la côte est jusqu'au village de Rabelados, puis continuez par Calheta jusqu'à Pedra Badejo pour voir la plus grande plantation de bananes du pays. Cette excursion combine nature, culture, histoire et détente sur la plage pour une expérience authentique de l'île de Santiago.

Edmilson has been very kind and careful in driving me around the Island stopping any time I asked for. Also some places are not to miss on this day tour: Assomada, Tarrafal, Serra de Malagueta, Rabaledos village and all the glimpes of rural areas and people along the route. Do not forget to take a look at Pico de Antonia silhouette on the way back to Praia when the sun is about to set.

Fabulous day-tour around the island with a dedicated, knowledgeable guide, Eddie. We completed a comprehensive circuit from Praia up to the north, then back south via the western side of the island. Eddie's English is superb and he does all he can to make the tour as interesting and exciting as possible. If you're planning to visit other islands, get in touch with Eddie or his colleagues to get the latest on inter-island travel options as they're hard to figure out from abroad.
