The experience was good once we boarded the vessel but there was so much confusion and miscommunication which made it frustrating associated with checking in along with the delay for the trip. There was no communication provided prior to my arrival that the trip was delayed to unfortunate circumstances. That’s my biggest grievance. Other than that, had a great time and the family & friends enjoyed the experience.
Our family of 5 had a fun, relaxing experience on our dolphin cruise. The staff and captain were all friendly and we appreciated the calm environment they created while also being entertaining with their dialogue. We did get to see a few dolphins but mostly enjoyed the breeze and beautiful views. We are very happy we decided to do this cruise. Very family friendly and very chill!
When you arrive there was no clear sign of where to check in. Called the phone number that came through with the text. The direction is to go straight to the end of the dock and there would be a kiosk to check in. We get there and we get turned around. The personnel tells us we’re supposed to check in at the bar area. So we walk back and there’s no one there to help. Call the number again and they tell us to go back to the boat. I asked if they can send someone out to help because there a group of us that got turned away. Finally someone comes out. We get back to the boat and it’s filled. I asked them is there a Pugh seats for us because it looks full. They assure us there is. Will there wasn’t. We had to stand the whole trip. It wasn’t that great.
The crew were amazing. The commaraderie, professionalism, eco info delivered with humer but real interesting facts plus a super Playlist full of mixed genres was awesome. We saw so many dolphin on this cruise, knowing that it isn't a guarantee was a bonus. The sunset was beautiful and we were also blessed with a rainbow. Best birthday wish came true for our 14 yr old. Thanks for some great memories.
The Sunset Cruise was great. I highly recommend this company and this tour.
Great time with some great folks. Very friendly and very well-kept vessel. The captain walks you through everything and keeps you entertained the whole time!
Got there 15 minutes before the cruise. We saw no sign or signs. Asked around at the Marina for 10 minutes trying to find where to go and by the time we found out, they had left. There was another family of 4 looking with us. We were a group of 9, their family had 4. So, they were missing 13 people and no one came down to the end of the dock one last time before leaving. The ticket says to arrive 30 minutes prior, so don't be late because it will take you some time to find out where to go(or it did us). Called the next day and tried to see if we could get on another boat later that week or any kind if refund...customer service girl said no, and said her boss would call about a re schedule. Never heard anything from anyone. Just poorly marked and you would think someone missing 13 people on the boat would come to the end of the dock one last time before leaving. Lesson learned....
This is marketed as a dolphin cruise and we didn’t see any dolphins. I understand you cannot control nature, but just market it as a sunset cruise then. I’ve been on other dolphin boat excursions and this unfortunately did not deliver and effort appeared minimal. We saw lots of pelicans, which was cool. The boat never leaves the bay, just fyi. Highlights: lots of pelicans- it’s neat to watch them fly and dive for food. Beautiful sunset- lovely photos ( again dependent on Mother Nature). They played music, which was nice. Overall, a relaxing time with family and friends. 1.5 hr time frame worked perfect for us and our family. The so-so part: a little hard to understand the caption. No real interesting tid bits about the area or dolphins. - not that it was marketed this way, but I have been on other boat excursions and they usually share one or two interesting facts about the area or something funny. No service bar- which I think is stated in the website. They do sell bottled water. We brought our own snacks and water, which was helpful. Would have been nice to get a beverage for the adults. I did notice it looked like some people may have purchased canned drinks at the bar/ restaurant at the dock prior to loading. Seating was limited. I’ve been on many different types of hourly boat cruises and I rate this one in comparison to other experiences. It was just so-so. Can’t say that I’d recommend it with flying colors, but it was a nice evening and we did enjoy it. But it was lacking when compared other boat excursions we’ve experienced. All in all , a nice evening.
Sadly we were not able to do this cruise. We tried to go 2 days while on our trip and both times were a huge disappointment. The first time we had trouble finding parking and we got on the dock and could see the boat but there was a gate we could not open. We called customer service and the gentlemen we spoke to said he had no way to call the captain. We watched the boat sail off. We rebooked and had to pay additional money but then we had to stand outside for over 30 min just for the cruise to be canceled due to bad weather. Obviously the bad weather was no ones fault however the company did not text me to tell me the cruise was canceled like they said they would. They emailed me and I was not thinking to check my email since I was told I would get a text. Both times I had my 83 yr old Dad with us. It honestly was a huge disappointment to spend two evenings trying to take this cruise. I would not try to do this again on our next trip. I was told if I sent an email they would refund the second cruise we booked. So in summary a huge waste of our time and a lot of aggravation and we definitely felt that customer service was lacking.
Great fun! Captain of the boat was very knowledgeable and informative. Got to see dolphins and a BEAUTIFUL SUNSET!
