Great tour to Samarkand from Tashkent, the tour was arranged well, from hotel pickup, train ride, Samarkand local tour the hotel drop-off. The local guide in Samarkand “Farrux” did a great job in showing me around all the sites and told the historical background and stories as well as patiently answering all my questions. Really recommend the tour and also local guide Farrux to other traveling planning a day trip to Samarkand from Tashkent.
Organizer arranged everything: * train tickets * hotel pick-up in the morning and drop-off in the evening * Samarkand local guide, Farrux, greeted me right after I stepped off the train and took care of everything, including a delicious lunch, until I was back to the train station for the train back to Tashkent. * Saw some glorious Islamic architectures and learned more about the glorious history of a great Central Asian empire. * a couple of hours might be too short to fully experience Samarkand but overall I had a good day-trip with this tour.
An excellent day out, we learnt so much about the history of Samarkand, and our guide was great, very patient, helped us take loads of photos, and took us to a lovely spot for lunch. Can highly recommend! This is a great tour!
I had an absolutely incredible time on this tour with my guide Farrukh. He showed me around all the main sites of Samarkand. I especially love learning about history, culture, and architecture and Farrukh shared so many insights and knowledge about Uzbekistan and its culture that it made my experience that much richer. The entire process was very convenient especially with the high speed rail tickets. I had a wonderful experience overall. I can't recommend this tour more to anyone who wants to explore Samarkand in just a day - especially a hot one (the AC was super helpful!)
This was a great day in Samarkand. The tour organizer and my guide were very accommodating. I booked only a day in advance, and was initially supposed to be on the regular train to Samarkand, but Mirzo checked the high speed train again and sent me updated tickets which was very nice. My tour guide, Farrux, was an amazing guide and very knowledgeable. I could tell he cared deeply about my experience. I actually got my card stuck in an ATM due to a power problem, and he went out of his way to contact the bank to retrieve my card! Would absolutely recommend this tour for anyone who only have a day to see Samarkand.

I had an amazing day tour in Samarkand with Farrukh and I can’t recommend him enough. Communication was so easy and the whole trip was very smooth. Farrukh is not only extremely friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of Uzbekistan. Even though the temperature was above 40°C, we didn’t feel it at all. His car was always with AC and he was constantly making sure we were comfortable and hydrated throughout the tour. The lunch spot he chose was absolutely beautiful and the plov was the best! When you travel a lot, you sometimes think nothing will surprise you anymore. But Samarkand went beyond all expectations, and a big part of that is thanks to our wonderful guide Farrukh
I had a wonderful day exploring Samarkand (one day trip, in and out by a fast train, whilst visiting Tashkent), from the breathtaking Registan Square and magnificent Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum to the beautiful Shah-i-Zinda complex and local crafts village, as well as a colourful and noisy local market. I was also struck by how green, peaceful and welcoming the city is. What made the day truly special was my guide, Farrukh Radzhabov, who was exceptionally polite, knowledgeable, helpful and genuinely caring throughout the entire tour. I learned so much, enjoyed every moment, including savouring Samarkand style pilaf:-), and came away with wonderful memories of this extraordinary city. Thank you for making my visit to Samarkand so memorable.
Farrux was our guide for a one-day tour to Samarkand, Uzbekistan, and the whole experience was outstanding. He arranged everything for us — hotel pickup in Tashkent, train transport to Samarkand, and pickup again on arrival. He communicated with us on WhatsApp about every step of the trip, so we always knew exactly what was happening, which was incredibly reassuring in a country where English isn’t widely spoken. We were picked up in Tashkent in the morning, spent the day exploring Samarkand, and were brought back to Tashkent that same night. Every part of the day was smoothly organized, the cars were comfortable, and we felt safe and well taken care of from start to finish. Farrux himself was kind, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about Uzbek history and culture. He clearly knew the sites inside and out and made the whole day effortless and enjoyable. This was one of the best excursions of our entire trip. If you want to see Samarkand without worrying about logistics, I highly recommend this day trip from Tashkent — and I highly recommend Farrux as a guide. 10/10!
Guide Farrukh is indeed a very hospitable kind interesting guide. The transfer was as convenient and comfortable as possible. The driver drove us as safely and comfortably as possible. Guide Farrukh met from the train. It made the experience a lot easier, too. You didn't have to worry about anything. Everything was thought through to the nitty-gritty. The whole program, the story, the seats back to back, the lunch. Take a look at the beautiful photos that came out during the tour. And that's only part of it. Farrukh approached each individually. With stories and insights about what was interesting to learn. And in general, Farrukh is a very pleasant man in his own right, and it was nice just to talk to him. A lot of thanks for the whole organization and a very interesting story that inspired me to come back and bring my family here.
