I booked this tour solely because it included access to the Sagrada Família towers. Since all other providers offering tower access were already sold out, I deliberately chose this much more expensive tour and paid over €109. Just two days before the tour, I was informed that the tower access had been cancelled – even though this was the main reason I booked this tour in the first place. As compensation, I was offered only €10. I do not consider this to be fair or reasonable. At the meeting point, we were told that we could try to buy tower tickets ourselves. However, as expected, they were already completely sold out. That was exactly why I had booked this more expensive tour in advance. After this experience, I have unfortunately lost my trust in both Amigo Tours and Booking.com as the booking platform. As a customer, I expected a fair and customer-oriented solution when such an important part of the booked experience was cancelled at such short notice. The biggest lesson I learned from this experience is to book important attractions separately and directly with the official provider whenever possible, instead of relying on combined tour packages. Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing, and I cannot recommend this tour under these circumstances.
Do not use Amigos for tours of Sagrada Família. You meet blocks away, the guides only engage with each other, they were late and only knew basic information. Terrible we left early
This was one of the worst tours I have ever taken. I’m an experienced travel who takes many tours. We meet blocks from Sagrada Família, the tour guides only engaged with each other before the tour, they were late and only knew basic information. We actually left early. We had to book 2 weeks before because of a change. This was the only tour open and I know why. You can go to mass to see Sagrada which is so much better than this tour. It was by Amugis
Super appreciative of our kind, funny, knowledgeable guide, Luis, and also for the speaker devices to hear him. When compared to the price you can pay to buy tix directly through Sagrada Familia, the price seems high. Appreciated the option though when timed tix became unavailable. We did have a positive experience overall.
Very intetesting tour, the guide Marta with great knowledge, telling in very interesting and amusing way. Worth seeing!!!
The guide, Francis, was excellent. He explained the history, architecture and the use of light. He made the stories of the Sagrada Família accessible to anyone. Great experience!
Luis was an EXCELLENT guide and extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend
Great experience and knowledge
Find a different tour operator! In reading reviews after our trip, I realize my poor experience with Amigo Tours is not unusual. I purchased tour with tower access. Days before the tour, I received a message saying they would be unable to provide tower access and that I would receive a partial refund. I messaged via their app and via the email sent by TripAdvisor to inquire about other availability and the amount of the refund. No response. With other tours booked and a limited stay in Barcelona, we decided to go on the tour without tower access. The tour itself was fine. The headsets are a little temperamental, but the guide was knowledgeable. After the tour, I did not receive a refund. Over a week later, I messaged Amigo Tours. No response. After another week, I messaged TripAdvisor/Viator. I received a quick response, but the amount of the refund was not adequate. If you are reading this because this happened to you, request the difference in price between the tour without tower access and the price you paid. They are able to look up the prices on the day you purchased. By looking up the information, I was refunded double what I was initially offered. (Amounts will vary.) I strongly believe Amigo Tours does not procure tower access tickets before selling them to you, so whether you will get tower access is completely up in the air. I booked with this company because there was no other operator offering tower access during the time I was looking to be in Barcelona. Offering tower access is a way to get customers. This is a bait-and-switch. Once they tell you that they can't provide tower access, it is too late to cancel and find another tour operator. You're stuck. If you want to go into La Sagrada Familia, you'll go on the tour without tower access. If you're like me and other customers, you'll be left with a bitter taste in your mouth as you try to get your refund. If you don't heed my advice and find another operator and find yourself chasing your refund, my advice is to email TripAdvisor/Viator. Even if they are able to make it right from a financial standpoint, the stress and time you spend trying to get a response from Amigo Tours is not worth it. DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR WITH TOWER ACCESS! Try to first book directly through La Sagrada Familia, but if you are like me and trying to find tickets weeks before your visit, pick another operator!
It was a great moment! We loved this visit. The explanations from the guide Luis were very interesting. Thank you very much
