Les voyageurs peuvent faire un safari dans le magnifique parc national de Wilpattu. Le parc national Wilpattu (Willu-pattu; pays des lacs) est un parc situé sur l'île du Sri Lanka. La particularité de ce parc est l’existence de "Willus" (lacs naturels) - des bassins d’eau naturels, bordés de sable, qui se remplissent d’eau de pluie. Situé dans la zone sèche de basses terres de la côte nord-ouest du Sri Lanka. Le parc est situé à 30 km à l'ouest d'Anuradhapura et à 26 km au nord de Puttalam (environ 180 km au nord de Colombo). Le parc s'étend sur 1 317 kilomètres carrés (131 693 hectares) et s'étend de 0 à 152 mètres d'altitude. Près de soixante lacs (Willu) et réservoirs sont disséminés dans tout Wilpattu. Wilpattu est le plus grand et l'un des plus anciens parcs nationaux du Sri Lanka. Wilpattu fait partie des plus grands parcs nationaux au monde renommé pour sa population de léopards (Panthera pardus kotiya).

Neel from Sri Shannon tours did two tours for us, one day trip to Wilpattu national park and one over night tour to Mirissa and Galle. Everything was well organised, on time, friendly and flexible. Neel made all the arrangements and this was all reasonably priced. He was knowledgeable and helpful and happy to let us explore and dictate the pace of the tours (except for the timings for the Wilpattu jeep and whale watching boat in Mirissa which were set times). We enjoyed both tours and would recommend Neel for any of them.
Had a fantastic day trip with Sri Shannon Tours to Willpatu National Park from Negombo. Neel arrived right on time, and the drive was comfortable and had AC which was much appreciated. Neel was accompanied by his son Shannon and both were really helpful and friendly. The safari was great - we saw buffalo, deer, crocodiles, monitor lizards and were even lucky to see a Leopard! Neel went above and beyond to make our day comfortable and enjoyable, stopping at temples and to get some food on the way back.
