We enjoyed working with Apodiformes Adventures from day 1. Janet helped us with all bookings, making arrangements for any custom requests and making recommendations. Our guide and Driver Songe was very accomodating of any last minute requests and was always present few minutes ahead of planned departure time. He is resourceful and knowledgeble of all the National parks that we visited. I will give him full credit for locating different animals. Overall we are very satisfied with the whole experience.

We had an incredible trip to Kenya, and we can't thank APODIFORMES ADVENTURES enough for organizing such a memorable experience. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, and the hotels they selected were outstanding. Each one was comfortable, well-located, and offered excellent service, making our stay relaxing and enjoyable throughout the trip. Very beautiful and unforgettable experience. Easy, fluent and quick communication with the kind staff during booking and planning. Flexibility to adjust the planning from the initial proposals based on personal needs, desires and attitudes (eg. itinerary, days). Very comfortable accomodations (eg. location, food, staff) as well as clean and spacious vehicle. Very strong guide during the trip, punctual, respectful of environment and animals, competent and passionate.

We traveled with Apodiformes Adventures for a 9-day safari from September 15–23, covering Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli, and Diani Beach. While the landscapes and wildlife were breathtaking, and our driver Sebastian was outstanding, the overall experience was marred by poor communication and unexpected challenges. Pros: Sebastian, our driver, was the highlight of the trip—professional, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. Masai Mara and Amboseli offered unforgettable safari experiences. Ol Tukai Lodge and Diani Sea Resort were excellent accommodations, providing comfort and a much-needed sense of relaxation. Cons: Communication was inconsistent and often unclear. From visa guidance to tipping expectations and baggage policies, we were left to figure out many things on our own. Health accommodations were lacking. One of our guests, undergoing cancer treatment, did not receive the support we expected despite notifying the agency in advance. Unexpected costs added significant financial strain. While some reimbursements were made, they were partial and required persistent follow-up. Arrival and transfer logistics were confusing, especially at train stations and airports, which added stress to the journey. When we raised concerns, the agency responded but often defensively. While they acknowledged some issues and promised improvements, the tone of the replies made us feel unheard and unsupported. Final Thoughts: Apodiformes Adventures has potential, and parts of the trip were truly special. However, for future travelers, especially those with health needs or tight budgets, clearer communication and better planning are essential. We hope our feedback helps improve the experience for others.

Avoid. The sales person planned more activities than the guide was willing to deliver. Guide skipped first day’s safari without any communication. Despite this, we gave generous tips for the first 4 days. To avoid the same issue on day 5, we asked explicitly to fulfill the itinerary. The guide decided to respond with passive aggressiveness and didn’t speak at all for the rest of the journey - extremely unprofessional and rude. Last 3 days effectively ruined, half of the group not willing to participate the safari any more and preferred to stay at the hotel. Avoid unless if you want office politics during your holiday…

The 9-day “luxury” Kenya safari was extremely disappointing, and I believe a partial refund is warranted. There was nothing luxurious about this tour. We were provided an old, broken-down vehicle (windows would not close, and it broke down multiple times), and the guides offered minimal service—poor communication, distracted by cell phones during game drives, and little effort in spotting animals. The advertised itinerary was misleading. Instead of morning and evening safaris as promised, nearly half the trip was spent driving long distances between hotels. On the very first day, we wasted 3.5 hours in Nairobi while the guides ran errands to outfit the vehicle—something that should have been done before picking us up. While a few hotels were excellent, others were not up to standard. To be fair, the hotel staff everywhere were warm and welcoming, and we did manage to see incredible wildlife. However, the overall experience fell far short of what was promised, and I could not recommend this company to others.

Me and my wife booked this safari for our honeymoon. It was all we could have imagined and more. Apodiformes adventures were very helpful in n the lead up and during the safari. I wanted to say a special thank you to our amazing safari guide Sebastian. He was the nicest guy, very knowledgable and really showed us the beauty of Kenya. Dickson was an outstanding Safari guided and spotted the big 5, as well as other significant wildlife. He was very knowledgeable about the animals and shared fascinating facts about each one. The accommodations on the trip were fantastic, with each lodge having its own unique history. The meals were delicious and I looked forward to experiencing new dishes from Kenya each day. We were very impressed with our Apidiformes Adventure and would recommend booking a Safari trip with them.

Fredrick and especially our guide, Tom provided my wife and me an unforgettable honeymoon experience. Fredrick was available around the clock, putting together an incredible itinerary and selecting lodges that matched the destinations we wanted to explore.
