Overall, this was a good excursion. The key thing to know is that the base price on Tripadvisor/Viator is very low (around USD 10), but once you are on site, additional items and upgrades are offered for extra money every few minutes (scarf for USD 15, photo with an animal for USD 5, camel ride, quad bike, VIP dining area, drinks other than water, etc.). The sales approach is also quite pushy, and staff keep trying to sell you things even after a clear “no.” That said, we did drive through the dunes, had time to take photos, and in the evening we got a good show and dinner. If you are comfortable saying “no” consistently and walking away from the sellers, it can be an excellent deal for the price. In my group, most people ended up spending a total of USD 30 to 50.
