Safari Game Drive - Yzerfontein

Description

Great morning out, Magda is an excellent guide. Not far from Capetown. Developing Gamefarm experience
There were few animals than expected
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. As with any wildlife experience, sightings can vary from day to day as the animals move freely across our 1700-hectare reserve. Some drives are quieter than others, while on other days guests are fortunate to see a wide variety of species including giraffe, zebra, eland, wildebeest and more. Our aim is to offer a peaceful small-group safari experience in a natural setting just an hour from Cape Town, and we appreciate your feedback. We hope you still enjoyed the beautiful landscapes and time spent in nature.
Great customer service from beginning to end! I had to reschedule my tour due to sickness twice and the ladies were very nice to deal with. The safari was a great experience.
Dear Melissa, Many thanks for your lovely review, we are very happy you got to experience West Coast Private Game Reserve with us.
We had a tour on Saturday and were absolutely thrilled. Andre was our guide and answered every single question in great detail. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to share a wealth of information with us. The tours are generally smaller, which I really like. There were only two of us on that day. We were also lucky enough to see almost all the animals, which of course made us the happiest. From ibex and elands to ostriches and zebras, as well as giraffes, buffalo, and a few more. Thank you, Andre, for the fantastic tour — we will definitely be back!
Dear Jennifer, many thanks for your lovely review, we are very happy you enjoyed your time with us on West Coast Private Game Reserve and saw so many of the animals you wanted. We don't have Ibex, but I assume you mean Springbok, which we do have. We look forward to hosting you again!
Bumpy but FUN ! 😍 Loved everything. Would definitely recommend! Thanks for this awesome Morning !!!

What a nice morning we had 🤩 first of all, a big thanks to Daniel our guide. A passionate person, kindly sharing with us all his knowledge 🙌🏻 very well organized 2:30/3:00 tour with a fantastic coffee break within the reserve. Yes there is no lions and elephants but for me it is an unbeatable quality experience for the price we paid ! A great little adventure next to Cape Town. We will come back for sure 👍🏻 many thanks to the team !!!
Many thanks for your lovely review, we are thrilled your enjoyed your time with us at West Coast Private Game Reserve. Welcome back anytime.
A well-organized tour in a reserve where the animals clearly live in a species-appropriate environment. We were able to see all the animals that can be seen in the park. The guide was excellent and had a wealth of knowledge.
Thanks so much for your wonderful review of your time with us on West Coast Private Game Reserve. We strive to provide authentic safari experiences and are very proud of all our staff.
It was a great experience with an awesome tour guide. Very personal and very informative. We were the only vehicle in the Reservate, which makes it a very authentic tour.
Dear Nicolas, thanks so much for your lovely review of your time with us on West Coast Private Game Reserve! We strive to keep our safaris intimate and authentic.
We had a wonderful experience in this private game park. We had a Land Rover just for ourselves, and our charming guide, Magda, explained everything to us that there was to be seen. We saw lots of antelopes and springboks, all five giraffes, twelve zebras, turtles, and loads of birds. A highlight was a brief picnic in the immediate vicinity of zebras and giraffes. Highly recommended.
Dear Karl, many thanks for your lovely review and for sharing such great photos of your time with us on West Coast Private Game Reserve!
Our expectations were definitely exceeded! The land the safari explores is way bigger than we thought and away from the roads, it really felt like a true safari. Our guide was so knowledgeable about the animals and took the safari at a great pace. We saw giraffes, Zebras, turtles, springbok, eland, waterbuck, buffalo and tons of ostriches with babies. Lots of the animals are pregnant so soon there will be even more babies. And the start and end of the tour there is a beautiful farm stall and restaurant with great pie and tons of unique birds
Dear Erin, many thanks for your your positive review. Indeed we now have a new baby zebra and springbok, with more animal babies on the way! Weskus Padstal where our bookings office is located and our game drives start and end, is a great destination in itself. As well as the restaurant & farm shop, they now have a new play area for kids and padel courts are opening from 1st Dec'25.
