I booked this tour expecting a guided and informative experience, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a major disappointment. For €130, I received almost no guidance, no explanations, and a generally disorganized trip. The driver barely spoke English and did not provide any information during the ride. Upon arrival, I was given a camel without any instructions and taken to the White Canyon. My "guide" was a teenager who spoke only a few words of English and rushed me through the canyon without explaining anything. He showed no concern for safety, and when I slipped and fell, he seemed annoyed rather than helpful. Meanwhile, I saw other groups with actual guides who provided information and assistance. During lunch at the Bedouin site, I was seated alone without any interaction. When another group arrived, I joined them to have some company. However, my guide later insisted that I return to my original seat alone. After finishing my meal, I was abruptly told to leave because my guide "had to go," which made no sense. The camel ride back was cut short due to rain, forcing me to climb a steep hill on foot. Finally, a 4x4 picked me up for the last short stretch. At the end of the trip, my guide suddenly became very clear in English, demanding a 200 LE tip for himself and another 200 LE for the camel handler. For the price I paid, I expected a well-organized tour with a professional guide who could provide insights into the canyon and Bedouin culture. Instead, it felt like I was simply being transported from one place to another with no effort to make the experience meaningful. I do NOT recommend this tour. There are likely much better options available where you actually get what you pay for.
Did the tour for $30 through our hotel with the Coloured valley and lunch. A drive through the desert was fun. Excellent activity to do
For the trip I needed good shoes, sunglasses and a little courage, did not expect the start of the White Canyon, but went down a little into the canyon. I didn’t find the Coloured Canyon so impressive, but was due to the sandstorm we had (it’s also an adventure, by the way)
