The safari was outstanding. Our driver, John, shared lots of information about the preserve as well as many interesting facts about the animals and how they behave. He made the trip so much more than just seeing the animals - that was great of course, but what he shared made it even better. We also included a hot air balloon ride, which included a champaign breakfast! Second to none! We would strongly encourage people to make this safari a part of your trip to Kenya. It was truly a highlight of our trip.
Our 3-day Massai Mara National Park tour began with our guide picking us up from a Nairobi hotel for the 6-hour drive to the park. We stayed in a "tent" with all the comforts of a hotel room. Good food as part of the package. Attached bath and toilet to the room complete with hot water. The your of the park was wonderful. We saw all the animals they had lusted in their website: lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, elephants, leopards, ostriches, hyenas, hippos, impalas, baboons, and lots of birds. It was well worth the cost.
I cannot rate the experience highly enough. The administrative contact was quick, transparent and clear. Our driver James was absolutely excellent, he was certainly a big part of why our trip was seamless, fun and accommodated for our children. He is obviously very experienced and we felt that we were in excellent hands. The Samburi camp we stayed at was 10/10 - tent, food, service. I will certainly recommend to friends and family.
My family and I enjoyed a fantastic three-day safari around the Masai Mara which I had organised via Shoor Travel. Joy was informative, responsive and maintained great communication throughout. Our guide John was friendly, knowledgeable and welcomed requests from our party regarding what we wanted to try and see etc. We stayed at Keekorok Lodge which was a home away from home, with great facilities, friendly staff, delicious food and a wonderful added bonus of the hippo bar which is a must see. It was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend Shoor Travel for anyone thinking of doing a safari.
My trip with the Shoor Africa was incredible. My tour guide, John, was part os the Massai Tribe. He was very knowledgable, patient and had a great personal story. The food at the camp was lovely, and staff overall very friendly.
