We were lucky that we had a wonderful tour guide to help us. He was very energetic, jovial and took the time to explain everything in detail. He answered questions that we didn’t even know to ask. It was an excellent tour. Thank you, aviator.
This was by far my favorite experience on my trip to South Africa. Taariq was my guide. From the time he picked us up on Sunday he allowed us to modify our first day due to the fact we did it already. He listened to our likes. So we ended up at ghe botanical gardens and a winery. He is super friendly and honest has become a life long friend. He suggested the walk with the elephants. This was by far the most memorable experience ever. He even arranged for me to ride on the hood of the car. Also Liez the host at the lodge is a sweet heart. I will be requesting taariq again.
Had the most amazing guide inTarriq Voltman of Cape Extreme! Ended up being a private tour for three days. Amazing animal safaris, cave visit, food. My daughter was able to have a Cheetah encounter which she loved. Best part was walking with the elephants and getting to feed them. Our host Liez was wonderful and her accommodations and dinner for us was amazing. Would definitely do this again and highly recommend our guide, Tarriq Voltman
A perfectly organized tour towards Garden Route with great stations and great guide! Thank you Taariq! PS: The Full Gatsby was amazing haha
We did the 2 day Safari tour, picked up early on Saturday and dropped off late afternoon on Sunday in Cape town. The safari: Overally i enjoyed the experience but it did felt a bit like going to a zoo, the safari took place on big 5 game reserve. I was hoping for a bit more adventure but was happy to see lots of animals. optional Elephant and ATV: I didn't do either but my friend did the ATV, they put you in a group and you have to go as slow as the slowest persons' speed. Dinner first night: Great. Breakfast next morning: acceptable with yogurt, toast and fresh fruit. Cave: adventure tour was great and fun. Bus: great and comfortable. Guide: Great and knowledgeable. Hotel: this is the part where I deducted 1 star. The room felt clean but there is a cat that roams around. I'm really allergic to cats and when cat hair gets on my clothes it makes even my next day miserable. another one star deducted: lots of driving around and didn't feel like actual activity time was substantial.
Dear K D Thank you for taking the time to give a review of your experience on our 2 Day Wildlife Safari Tour. We are very glad to hear that your experience was a very positive one overall and that you really enjoyed the Cave adventure. l. We are sorry to hear about the cat at the accommodation and your allergies here. We also are sorry to hear about the star deduction for the amount of driving, unfortunately South Africa is a very big place and the distances between attractions and activities can be quite large meaning that time spent travelling/driving is unavoidable in order to experience the variety on offer. We hope to see you again on one of our tours in the future. Thank you and safe travels.
We did this trip over a month ago and I promised our tour guide Khotso (who was amazing!!) that he would get a ravishing review and instead of doing what I normally do - putting something on a to do list and never getting it done and eventually just taking it off entirely, I knew I had to write this. This trip was amazing. I am 22 years old and I did this with a 24 year old and a 13 year old and we all had an amazing time! Very well run and our tour guide was magnificent. If you're on the fence about dishing out some cash for these excursions, don't be. It was well worth it and oh my god was the elephant encounter ever breath taking. Book with them. They're amazing. You'll be glad you did.
Dear Jasmine. Thank you for this awesome review! We are thrilled to hear that you had such a great time on the 3 Day Big 5 n Bungee Tour... definitely one of our most popular offerings! You only live once! Be adventurous! Best wishes for 2019!
Booked myself on the 2 day tour. Day one was a safari at a game reserve about 4 hours from the city. Most of the locals told me if the safari was only 2 hours away it would be poor so I am glad it was 4 hours away. It turned out to be really good. We then did a walk with elephants which was amazing. We were put up in a hostel for the night where the owners fed us a delicious chicken stew. Next day we had a choice of Caverns or a wildlife park where you can have an encounter with a cheetah. Hands down cheetah encounter won. Amazing experience. Wendy, our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and above all a good driver. I’d recommend this tour if you are short on time and can’t do a week long safari.
Thank you for the awesome feedback here. We are thrilled to hear that you had such a great time on tour with us! So many amazing experiences to choose from. We will definitely be passing your compliments on to Wendy regarding her guiding and driving. Thank you and hope to see you again in the near future! Best wishes, Barry.
I have to say, the 3 Day safari tour was more than I imagined it would be. Our Guide/Driver Gareth was excellent! being my first time in South Africa, I didn't really know what to see or really expect besides having my heart set on a safari. Cape Extreme conducts a wonderful tour for an unbelievable value. If you do do this tour, opt in for the 3day. The Cape peninsula tour led us to breathtaking views and informative and enjoyable transport rides. The 2nd day contains the safari where you get to see the big 5 and so much more. Although we only saw 4/5 (Leopards are hard to come by during the day), all the other animals we saw made up for it. especially the Cheetah lunching on a buffalo they caught. After the safari you can do the optional elephant walk which is an out of pocket cost, but so worth it. The elephants are on a private reserve and treated very well. There are no gimmicks or tricks they do, they roam free and are well looked after by their care takers who are extremely knowledgable. The walking with elephants experience is unbelievable. its almost like another small safari you do, but here you walk with and touch the Elephants you encounter. The pictures you walk away with will definitely be worthy of bragging rights. On the last day, you're given the option of doing the Cango Caves or a wildlife sanctuary which can be compared to a zoo, minus the caged animals. We opted for the caves for our journey, and had some fun. If you've never been to a cave before, they are great, but if you have, you can always do the cave adventure which takes you through some tight squeezes and claustrophobic passages. The cave adventure is a separate part of the cave tour and optional, it doesn't cost anything out of pocket either, but it is not recommended for those that are claustrophobic and not physically fit. Overall, I would definitely do this tour again and would no doubt do it with Cape Extreme, and hopefully Gareth as out guide! This tour was worth every single penny. When it comes to the optional bits, always splurge and do them, they are so worth it! Im already looking to do their 7 day tour on my next visit to SA.
We did the 2 day tour and it was two great days. On the first day, we left early and went to Safari (very good Safari, good infrastructure and we were lucky to see the Big Five). Soon after we went to interact with the elephants and after that we went to the house of Mark (our host) and we would spend the night there. The house is large, well organized and with good infrastructure, the food was great. The other day in the morning we had breakfast and left for Canto Caves (amazing, fantastic place, one of the best places I've been in Cape Town). The whole trip was even better in the company of our guide Sylvester, very cool, smart is that knows the places very well. Always gave us great explanations. I recommend the tour and if you can do it with Sylvester, it sure will be even better. It was one of the best guides I have ever had in all my travels.
My girlfriend and I just finished the 2 day wildlife safari and it was really amazing! Our guide was Sylvester and he was the best guide we could have asked for. He kept the long drives very entertaining and engaged in deep conversation and was so knowledgeable about so many different topics, including all the wildlife and history of the areas we traveled to and went above and beyond to make sure we all had a great time. The safari itself at the Garden Route Game Lodge was amazing too. We had a very good game ranger and we were lucky enough to see cheetahs, lions, elephants, zebras, the hippo that was really rare to see, etc. Then we went to do an elephant interaction somewhere else and that was a pretty unforgettable experience being that up close and walking along side an elephant. The next day we went to the Cango wildlife reserve and took a tour there and did the cheetah interaction which was great as well. It was really intense being that up close to a cheetah. I’d recommend this tour to everyone, I just wish we would have had the time to do one of the longer tours!
