David was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable regarding the area. He asked what we wanted to see and made sure we got to see everything! The trip was wonderful!!!! Would highly recommend to other family and friends!!!!
David was a great guide! His mission is to keep you safe while finding great views of wildlife, and he did just that! We saw sheep, moose, bison, mule deer, and several birds! He was very knowledgeable and keep us engaged (never boring) He had snacks, and drinks then we got lunch with warm soup. After the elk refuge he had hot chocolate and cookies waiting for us, which hot the spot. The refuge ride was great as well, learned a ton and saw a ton of elk up close! Be prepared and dress warm, the range is windy and chilly. I recommend this tour 1000%
Thank you so much for the 1000% recommendation! We are thrilled that David provided such a safe and engaging experience for your group. It sounds like you had incredible luck seeing everything from bighorn sheep to moose! We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to David, he’ll be happy to know the warm soup and hot chocolate hit the spot. We also appreciate the tip for future travelers to dress warm for that chilly refuge wind. We hope to see you in the Tetons again soon! Best, The Great Western Expeditions Team
David was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was enthusiastic about sporting all the animals. He kept our 14 year old son engaged throughout the tour. It was a great start to our Jackson experience.
Thank you for the wonderful review! We are so glad to hear that David provided such a great start to your Jackson Hole experience. He is fantastic at keeping guests of all ages engaged, and we're thrilled your son enjoyed the tour as much as the adults. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words along to him! Wowowowowow! Vinnie as our guide -he was FANTASTIC! He has been in the valley for years and had amazing stories to tell while we were driving around the Tetons and Elk Refuge. We saw big horn sheep while the moon was setting, Wolves at the fish hatchery, bald eagles, Moose up close and personal, 4 HUGE elk bulls, and 3 mule deer, and more. Part of this tour is the Sleigh ride in the Elk Refuge and it is totally worth it (wear layers and bring your camera!). Vinnie had a lovely sandwich/soup lunch for us too. He went WAY above and beyond to make our day a once in a lifetime!
Amy, Thank you for the amazing review! Vinnie has such a passion for this area, and it shows. We hope to see you again soon. Spring, summer and fall are incredible in The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
Our guide, Vinnie, was exceptional!! Every aspect of this excursion was seamless, from start to finish: booking, pre-event communications, his incredible knowledge of the area, our delicious picnic lunch, and the photos and videos he captured, we couldn't have been more thrilled with our experience! 10/10, HIGHLY recommend!!
Thank you for the wonderful review, and we are so happy your group enjoyed their experience with us! Vinnie is an exceptional guide, and the Elk Refuge Sleigh ride is such a unique activity here in the winter. Thank you again, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Nice ride with a knowledgeable guide, and were excited to get up close with wildlife but unfortunately nature had other plans and even though we saw bisons and moose were quite far away, just visible through binoculars (kindly provided, along with some snacks and a lunch). The elk preserve does take you up close to the animals, in a large sleigh with about a dozen people. But there is no blanket provided, so dress very warm or bring your own blanket.
This was one of our favorite moments in Jackson. Bonnie was so informative. He never rushed us. We got to see moose, elk, and big horn sheep. The lunch was one of the best we had while visiting the area.
The Elk Refuge sled ride was a lot of fun! We enjoyed the picnic lunch with a beautiful view and great tour guide!
Vinnie was an amazing tour guide! He helped us grab some amazing shots of the wildlife, and made a great lunch!
Just a great time! Vinnie was so knowledgeable, gracious and fun to be with. Would do any excursions they offer. Thanks for the great memories made. Pam and Bob Brooks
