Description
Les environs du Grand Bazar d’Istanbul sont un dédale de hans historiques, d’ateliers et de minuscules restaurants qui servent les marchands et artisans qui y travaillent tous les jours. Lors de cette visite d’une journée, nous explorerons ses rues secondaires à travers la nourriture et les gens qui maintiennent les traditions du quartier vivantes.
Nous commencerons par le thé et les pâtisseries dans la cour d’une école religieuse du XVIIIe siècle avant de nous asseoir pour des hommes avec une vue imprenable sur le Grand Bazar. De là, nous dégusterons un dîner dans un petit kiosque et des plats de saison à la maison dans un quartier esnaf lokantası.
Alors que nous continuons à travers les auberges de commerce et les quartiers artisanaux de l'époque ottomane, nous rencontrerons des artisans traditionnels et dégusterons du pain plat fraîchement cuit, des kokoreç et d'autres spécialités locales. Nous terminerons avec un gâteau imbibé de lait aux racines albanaises – une douce fin à une journée passée à découvrir le quartier du bazar au-delà des devantures.

Excellent overview of Turkish food
Truly excellent tour! Ugur, our guide was one of the best I’ve had and he brought not only the food but also the architecture, history and culture of the bazaar and the various vendors and craftsmen we met along the way. He also gave great recommendations to guide the rest of our time in the city which was most appreciated. I will remember eating the kokoreci for a long time. Highly recommend this tour to all.

Great experience
Dapne our tour guide was amazing and informative. She was lovely and spoke very good English.
She was so knowledgeable about her culture and we tried lots of different foods which we would never have thought to eat.

Don’t miss this
If not the best day tour I have ever taken, certainly among the best. Everything about it was amazing. Our guide, Remziye, was incredible—fun, personable, knowledgeable, and warm. If a city I visit has a Culinary Backstreets tour, I’m in!

A must!
This was an incredible introduction to a local's experience of the Bazaar area, it's food culture, and so very much more. This is one of the best tours I have participated in anywhere in the world, maybe ever.
