A Georgian palace on something that would probably be illegal today!

I went under duress - I really don't like Georgian and Regency stuff. But I was really pleasantly surprised. Knee deep in dragons (actually mostly wyverns), and bamboo decorations (designed by someone who'd never seen bamboo!) Almost all Chinese (our fake Chinese), set in an Indian palace - "make up your mind!" Quirky and really interesting - what you can do with unlimited money and a crazy imagination.

The only Royal Palace owned by the people!

Trip one Sunday. Spent slightly over an hour here. Very sympathetically restored back to its 1823 origins. Surprisingly owned by the local council! The audio tour is worth the £3 to your device!

Fun with dragons

I had planned this holiday trip with my 5-year-old granddaughter for some time. I booked online, which was easy, and noticed that I could take advantage of a 2 for 1 offer as we were travelling by train - a bargain! Having taken my children to the Pavilion many years ago I knew there would be dragons, but I wasn't prepared for the summer dragon activities. We hunted for eggs and letters, followed the trail of the naughty hatchlings and took part in activities. There were lovely touches, such as small binoculars in the banquet room for children to get a better look at all the detail on the ceiling. Our visit would have been wonderful anyway, but was more magical with the extra effort that had been taken by the visitor team. We'll definitely return for whatever next year's activities might be.

Fabulous!

Fabulous building! Was dumbstruck by the scale of the rooms and elaborate decor that really showcased the Prince Regents love of excess. Really recommend a visit, was beautiful.

Absolutely incredible! A must-see in Brighton! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We booked a 9:00 AM ticket, arrived in the park around 9:15 AM, enjoyed a quick coffee, and then headed inside. The welcome at the reception was very friendly. We did a self-guided tour, and from the moment we stepped into the Banqueting Room, our jaws dropped! There were so many dragons everywhere—so amazing and unique, we have never seen anything like it. The story behind it all is fascinating! Then, we suddenly spotted a toy cat. At first, we thought they just put it there for fun, but after spotting the fifth cat, we just had to know the story! It turned out to be George, the resident cat who actually lived there back in the early 1800s. Such a brilliant and charming detail! They also have a super fun dragon treasure hunt for children. It really shows you how incredibly wealthy people lived back then. From the secret underground tunnels to the unique attic room. The exterior looks like an Indian palace, while the interior is completely Chinese-inspired, featuring stunning hand-painted wallpaper and hundreds of dragons (🐉). Incredibly beautiful and an absolute must-visit!

Off to a slow start.....

Tripadvisor failed to pay the Pavilion for our admission so we were delayed in getting in. Tripadvisor were slow in sending the tickets prior to our departure from home . Once inside the Pavilion we were not disappointed.
