Explorez le Korouoma Canyon en hiver, connu pour ses cascades gelées et ses formations rocheuses spectaculaires qui créent l'un des paysages naturels les plus distinctifs de Laponie. Exploitée par The Original Aurora Hunters®, Arctic GM est une entreprise familiale dont les racines remontent aux années 1600 en Laponie, alliant les connaissances locales à l’accent mis sur la randonnée guidée en petits groupes. Après la prise en charge, vous vous rendrez à la réserve naturelle de Korouoma, située à l'écart des zones touristiques animées. La randonnée vous emmène à travers les sentiers forestiers et le long du plancher du canyon, où des cascades gelées se forment pendant les conditions hivernales. Le rythme est modéré, avec le temps de profiter du paysage, de prendre des photos et d'en apprendre davantage sur la géologie et la nature de la région. Pendant la randonnée, vous vous arrêterez pour profiter d'un barbecue traditionnel de Laponie avec boissons chaudes dans un cadre extérieur paisible.

Itinéraire
Commencez votre expérience avec le ramassage à Rovaniemi et transfert à la réserve naturelle de Korouoma, située à environ 1h30 de la ville. À votre arrivée, vous commencerez une randonnée guidée à travers des sentiers forestiers menant à la zone du canyon. Le parcours traverse des terrains variés, notamment des sentiers boisés et des sections le long du plancher du canyon. Pendant la randonnée, vous visiterez des zones où des cascades gelées et des formations de glace se développent en hiver. L'itinéraire exact est choisi par votre Guide selon les conditions actuelles. La marche se fait à un rythme modéré et soutenu, avec des arrêts réguliers pour profiter du paysage, prendre des photos, et se reposer. À mi-chemin de la randonnée, vous vous arrêterez sur un site de feu désigné pour déguster un barbecue traditionnel de Laponie avec des boissons chaudes. Après la randonnée, transfert retour à Rovaniemi. La durée totale est d'environ 6 à 7 heures.

Very disappointing and unprofessional experience. I booked two separate experiences with this company — mushroom foraging and berry foraging. The company first cancelled my mushroom foraging experience at the last minute. I contacted them and explained that I found it extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate to cancel an experience so close to the date, especially when customers plan their travel itineraries around confirmed bookings. Despite me raising this concern with them, they then did the exact same thing to me again with my berry foraging experience — cancelling the day before the scheduled event. This time, I was told that I was the only person booked and therefore they decided to cancel. I had already planned my itinerary around this experience, but apparently that was not their concern. It felt as though the company’s priority was whether the trip was financially worthwhile for them, rather than honoring a customer’s confirmed booking. What is especially frustrating is that nowhere on their website, when I booked, was it clearly stated that they could cancel the experience if there were not enough participants. If there is a minimum number of participants required for an event to operate, that should be clearly disclosed before customers make a booking and arrange their travel plans. Cancelling once at the last minute is already disappointing. Doing it twice — especially after I specifically told them how inconsiderate the first cancellation was — is extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend booking with this company if you are traveling specifically for one of their experiences or have a tight itinerary. A confirmed booking clearly does not mean the experience will actually go ahead.
A beautiful walk with amazing views of the frozen waterfalls! Our guide, Natalie, was excellent from start to finish. He went to pick us up at Airbnb, explained all the logistics and shared interesting facts about Finland and the region. Teached us elf showers, we ate santa's beard and still made us lunch always with good disposition! I highly recommend!

The frozen water tour in Rovaniemi was an amazing winter wonderland experience. Walking across the frozen landscape felt magical, and the barbecue in the snow made the whole trip even more special. A simple, beautiful, and unforgettable adventure.
I had an incredible time! The guide and driver, Victor, truly went above and beyond to ensure everyone was safe and happy. Because the snow was melting a little, some parts of the hike were rather slippery, but Victor was very patient – he waited for everyone and offered help whenever it was needed. He was also a fantastic photographer, even lying down in the snow to get the best angles for our photos. Aside from the stunning views (the frozen waterfalls and the red river – just wow!), I learnt quite a bit about the geological formations and the flora and fauna around the canyon. And during the hike, Victor and our group picked up loose studs that had fallen off other hikers’ traction cleats. It felt so good to help preserve the environment, even in small ways! To top it all off, the BBQ was a nice touch. It was simple but cosy, set in a beautiful spot, and provided warming food after the hike. Highly recommend this tour and Victor to anyone visiting Rovaniemi!

Our day tour to Korouoma was beyond amazing! Our guide Natalia was outstanding leader and organiser. She kept the spirit of the group so high, she was smiling and welcoming us all. She gave us confidence and was unstoppable and full of energy I love every minute of this tour. Would repeat over and over again
We went to Frozen Falls with William and honestly, it was above all expectations. He shared a lot of interesting information about the area, which made the whole experience even better. He was super helpful on the tricky icy paths, and you can really see he cares about what he does. The waterfalls are incredible—definitely a unique adventure.

She was very informative on our excursion. She was helping us capture this moment,offered ta take us pictures to take home with us. We had a fantastic day. The hike was so beautiful and well suited for us as beginners with medium fitness levels. The frozen waterfalls are very impressive. Our guide Bruno showed us some vantage points that we would not have found on our own and gave us a lot of knowledge. Vegan sausages were also organised on request for the barbecue.
