I do not recommend this tour company. A week before the tour they said not enough people signed up and they may need to cancel. Then 2 days before the tour, they said they couldn’t do the tour the day we booked but we could go the following day. Then the day before the rescheduled date, they completely canceled and told us to request a refund. This tour was supposed to be one of our highlights in Maui, and then we never got to go to Hana because by the time they canceled for the final time it was too late to book a different tour. Very disappointing.

We offered rescheduling options as well as a full refund, and we followed the procedures outlined in our communication to you. We enjoyed this tour. The stops were beautiful and we spent just enough time at each spot. I hate to say it but our tour guide was really hard to understand and spoke quietly. Also, he crashed into a parked car. The other driver got out and tried to speak to him- he ignored him and kept driving. This left us a bit on edge for the rest of the tour.

Our tour guide James wasn’t proficient in English nor did he talk much to keep our group of 8 people entertained Most of fell asleep from the silence. Lunch was rushed within a 15min time frame I noticed nobody gave James a tip. That’s proof in the pudding that nobody thought the tour was over the top The seats in the van were not comfortable The scenery was amazing. I just wish we had an awesome tour guide to go with it. I guess we can’t win them all

Very quick trip. Almost got into several wrecks. Did not stop much and was rushed at every stop. We did not stop at any waterfalls or at the beautiful rainbow trees. I got car sick and I never get car sick. Disappointed!

Very disappointed with the tour. The driver spoke with an accent that everyone had difficulty understanding. He was from a foreign country and while he tried his best, our expectation was to be able enjoy the guide’s commentary on the ride. Also, for a good part of the trip starting out, he tailgated cars with less than a full car length between the car and our van. Very unnerving. Lastly, the road is not difficult to drive yourself. We expected treacherous roads with no guardrails. Yes, it gets narrow and down to one lane at points. The drive is a cakewalk compared to driving places like Pikes Peak or the seasonal road to Aspen. Had we known, we would have driven ourselves instead of taking the tour.

What may appear as close following distances from the back of a van can often be a matter of perspective. We have never received a substantiated complaint about unsafe driving practices on this tour. Regarding the difficulty of the road: With respect, we must disagree with your assessment. The Road to Hāna has over 600 curves and more than 50 one-lane bridges. While confident drivers may find it manageable, many visitors find it stressful and exhausting. Our tour allows guests to relax, enjoy the scenery, and learn about the history and culture of Maui—benefits that self-driving cannot provide. We had a great time! It is a very winding and beautiful road. The visit to the black sand beach was very cool. The waves were powerful, blowing sea water high in the air. The sights were very unique. We also saw many turtles on the beach as they were laying their eggs. Oscar, our guide, was engaged, informative and made the trip fly by fast! It was setup to be very compatible with the NCL cruise.
