The. journey to Rottnest was very enjoyable on the ferry. The Grand tour that took us. around the. island was very good, guide was excellent and we had enough time at each stop. The. only negative to the. trip that I felt could have been improved was the. bus audio system , we sat towards the back of the bus and the audio was very faint at times.
Thanks for your feedback from your day at Rottnest Island. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your experience on our SeaLink ferry. And we will certainly pass your comments regarding the audio on to the coach provider, we are sorry the sound wasn't loud enough for you.
This was a well planned trip which went to the key areas on the island. It combined in one ticket the gun tower, the train and a tour of the island. There was a lunch provided (GF option available) of a wrap and a drink. Leigh was an excellent tour guide who was informative and personable. If you want to see all of the island then this is a combined ticket that enables you to do this. Quokkas easily visible from the settlement as soon as you get away from the jetty.
Sounds like you enjoyed your experience with us on Rottnest Island, and the Grand Island Tour is indeed a comprehensive way to see it all!
Amazing experience and tour guides were so knowledgeable. Really enjoyed the day with my mum and the quokkas.
How great to hear - and especially that you had such a good time with your Mum and the quokkas!
Good tour, informative, bus trip went too long and was a bit repetitive. Would have preferred more time at the lighthouse. No time for exploring or climbing it.
Thanks for your feedback Holly, sounds like perhaps a self-guided bike option may have worked better for you, but none-the-less, we hope you enjoyed your time on Rottnest.
Choppy trip over but then a lovely done day. Saw lots of quokkas and really enjoyed the guns.. The lunch was pretty ordinary.
Glad to hear that you saw so many quokkas, that's so great! Yes, the lunch is quite basic on the Grand Island Tour, but we will nevertheless provide your feedback on to the tour provider, thanks Shirley.
We visited the ticket booth the day before we traveled so we could get our tickets printed in advance and we knew where we were going. This proved very beneficial as it was very busy on arrival. The ferry was on time giving us 90 minutes to explore before the train ride. The tour of tunnels was interesting and well presented as was the island bus tour. The chicken salad wrap which passed as lunch was average at best but other than that we had an excellent day.
Thanks for your feedback. Sounds like you had a great day, except for the lunch. We often suggest a quick visit the Rottnest Bakery before the tour, if you have time!
What a great tour!! Guide was amazing and I walked away feeling like I saw the entire island. It is the perfect tour for first timers to Rottnest- a perfect overview of the history and high points of beautiful Rottnest. Highly recommend!
Brilliant to hear, thank you for such wonderful feedback, glad you enjoyed Rottnest Island so much!
I didn't realize that Quokas are nocturnal so seeing them on this trip was not likely. The ones we did see and try to photograph were difficult to get a photo of because of other people hoarding the space. The island was beautiful but wish the tour had stopped at Parakeet Beach. Twenty minutes here would have been grand.
Thanks for your feedback Robert. Yes, the quokkas are nocturnal so you definitely will see more from twilight onwards. Parakeet Beach is indeed a beautiful beach!
Great way to see all the island sights since we were not hiking or biking, the only other ways to get around.
Brilliant, thanks for your feedback, glad to hear that you enjoyed the Grand Island Tour.
The tour provides a comprehensive overview of the island with several stops along the way. I could preferred less time at Oliver Hill Battery and longer stops on the bus portion. Nicky was an outstanding guide, and the tour was extremely well organized.
Wonderful to hear, thanks so much John.
