This tour is Amazing! You take a boat ride to Rose Island, swim and feed the pigs with food provided by them. Then take another boat ride to snorkel. Come back and do water activities like kayaking, paddle boarding and water trampolines. Or just relax on the clear beach. On the way back, they stop to look at turtles (we saw 3) and check out the famous peoples homes. Great experience. Matthew was great on the snorkeling excursion. Everyone was great. Very polite, funny and helpful. Wish we had more time but we had to get back to our cruise. Highly recommend this experience.
Swimming with the pigs was a great experience, our 11 years old granddaughter absolutely loved it . Feeding the pigs and holding a baby pig and taking pictures at the end it was the highlight of her entire trip. She said that this excursion was the most memorable part of our Bahamas cruise. The boat ride from the cruise ship terminal to Rose island takes about 45 minutes and can be a little hot . On the island there is a restaurant with drinks, alcoholic beverages and nonalcoholic drinks, ice cream, water. There are tents with picnic tables wicker chairs and hammocks between palm trees. They have paddle boards and kayaks available at no additional charge but you must have a photo ID ( driver license ) to give them until you return the equipment. There are bathrooms available also right next to the restaurant. There is a nice beach where you can swim and snorkel but the snorkeling is not that great because most of the coral reef is dead, we found a couple of patches of live coral reef with some fish. There are also some water trampolines tied in the water that are available at no charge. It was a great place to spend the day. The staff was very friendly and nice especially the people who handled the pigs they educate everyone on how to feed and handle the animals, they provided everyone in the excursion with a plastic cup with apples and hotdogs and a wooden skewer to feed the pigs. On the way back to the cruise ship terminal we stopped at a small island and were able to see some turtles. Would definitely recommend this company for your excursion.
This was a fun filled excursion. The entire staff was very accommodating. We snorkeled, swam and took pics with the pigs, hung out on the beach and saw the turtles. It was a great time. I highly recommend it
This is the perfect excursión for cruise passengers. Rose Island offers a superior altertanitve to other excursions as they operate a large beach, bar, restaurant, swim pig adventure as well as snorkel. Floating mats, kayaks, umbrellas and othe beach activities are complementary. Service is good but a bit "dry" in typical Bahamian tradición. We purchased the swim with pigs + snorkel and paid 1/2 of the ship excursión price. There are two tours departing 9:30 am and 11:30 am Both pick you up at Señor Frogs (a 10 minute walk to the right of the pier) and return you directly to the cruise terminal. 5 Stars!
This was a great excursion!! The staff were all super friendly and fun! They take you to a private beach, you’ll swim with the pigs in an area that isn’t over crowded, then have time to enjoy the beach, food and drinks. I recommend if you go at lunch time that you book the package that includes lunch, it’ll save you about $5 off of the price you’ll pay for lunch if you decide to eat there.
An absolute must! Soooo much fun. I wish the pigs stayed out and swam longer but it was still really cool.
Swimming with pigs was a great experience. Rose island was beautiful. We would definitely recommend this trip.
So much fun. The boat ride to the island is great. You have so much time on the island to tan, snorkel, play in the water and explore. Lunch is $25/person but there is so much food that one plate could feed two people. Great tour. Highly recommend.
We had a great experience overall! The captain was kind, friendly, and very professional. You could tell he takes his job seriously through the care and attention he provided during the boat ride. He shared interesting facts about the areas we passed, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The staff at the resort were also fantastic—patient, welcoming, and genuinely kind. They truly seemed to enjoy their work and showed a real commitment to the well-being of the pigs, which was wonderful to see. My only minor complaint is that the boat ride to the island was advertised as being around 30 minutes, but it ended up taking closer to 45–50 minutes. It wasn’t a major issue, but having a more accurate estimate would help set expectations. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend it to others.
We loved swimming with the pigs we also go to take time to chill at the beach too before the boat came back to pick us up the water was so clear. We also going to pass by the turtle beach and pass by famous peoples houses .
