We had Carlos as our guide on a private tour from Seville to Ronda and the White Villages on a cloudy, rainy day in January. While the weather was uncooperative, Carlos was wonderful! He told us all about the towns we visited and why they were important historically. He walked us around (in the rain) to see the sights. We had an excellent day with Carlos and he even provided some tips for our other days in Seville and surrounding areas. Despite the rain, he expertly handled the roads to and from and showed us off the beaten cafes.
We were pleasantly surprised when our SG tour started with just the two of us! We started our tour walking to the Old Town with a great view of the "New Bridge". Our walk along the Jardines de Cuenca led us to overlooks of the "Old Bridge" as well as the Roman Bridge. We walked over the Old Bridge and through the Old Town heading back towards the "new town". We stopped at a couple more scenic overlooks before heading to the Plaza de Toros. We found the self guided tour to be very interesting. It would have been helpful to have a targeted time to meet as it impacted our time in the White Villages. Our tour guide reserved a great location for lunch (Tobanco Los Arcos) and they were able to get us a spot even though we were later than expected. Our visit to Setenil de Las Bodegas was interesting as one example of a White Village. At the end of the trip our guide drove us to our hotel which was an unexpected benefit. All in all a very enjoyable day!
Carlos is a great guide with a lot of knowledge, he really took good care to show us what makes this region so special,
This was just a driver taking you from place to place. An uber would basically do the same thing for less. Our driver Carlos was not as involved as the other reviews mentioned. He walked with us in the first town and had breakfast. In the 2nd town he was rushed due to the parking situation and in Ronda he walked with us about 1 block then made recommendations for lunch then said he was tired and needed to nap. Usually with the small group Tours due to the price the guide has interaction with the passengers explaining the scenery as you drive and tries to make it a special experience. That was not the case. I was very disappointed with the entire trip especially when we paid $1156.00 for 4 of us to go.
Amazing day! Really thorough, beautiful tour with an amazing guide. So much fun! There was a miscommunication with myself and a third party vendor I used for the initial booking, but NJaT was extremely gracious and accommodating, which I really appreciated. Would definitely recommend!
This tour is great. We are a family of 6. Carlos, our tour guide, picked us at the hotel, and drove us all around the white villages. We stopped to see the sunflowers, explored Zahara and Grazelma and ate lunch overlooking the Ronda’s gorge. We learned a lot, ate great food and relaxed!
What a wonderful full day trip to Ronda. Our guide Carlos was awesome……definitely a trip worth booking!!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed this day trip to Ronda and the white villages. Small group size is great. No waiting to fill a bus. There were 6 of us in the van, plus the driver, Carlos, who was also an informative guide. The only change we would recommend was to go only to the second White Village, not stop at the dam, and spend more time in Ronda. We would have liked more time in Ronda. Our lunch in Ronda was one of the best of the trip. Carlos recommended the restaurant, Elias.
We booked the Ronda & white villages day tour and paid a bit extra to have it as a private tour for the four of us (two adults and two teenagers). It was Holy Week. We loved this tour. Carlos, our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and a very good driver too. In Zahara we had breakfast at the village's social club, something you probably wouldn't do normally. The drive to Ronda over a mountain pass (not for coaches and via another village) was stunning. In Ronda Carlos gave us a brief tour and then we were free to explore. This tour is very recommendable!
On this day excursion, Carlos drove us thru the white villages, ending in Rondo. Despite the unusual rain fall that day, Carlos treated us to these small towns with history and humor. We had a wonderful breakfast, tried local cheeses and ended with a special lunch in Rondo. The walking tours were slow paced allowing us to take pictures and ask a lot of questions. In addition to his wealth of information, Carlos is also a very talented artist. We enjoyed the day and can saw that we made a friend in Carlos.
