What an Amazing evening of food tasting and local history. We began with filling up our water bottles like locals. Then off for several short walks and stops at five different food location. Each location offered a different tasting and they were perfect and delicious,. Special thanks to our amazing food tour guide, Antonella for the wonderful tour last night. The history we learned was so interesting. Antonella is a lovely person. We loved the time we spent chatting with her. If you ever do a food tour in Rome, I sure hope she is your guide. Grazie, Antonella.
We had the unique pleasure of booking a street food of Rome walking tour and our amazing guide, Giancarlo, not only shared with us some delicious suppli, porchetta, pizza, pecorino romano, and gelato, but also history and cultural lessons that were as flavorful. Giancarlo was attentive to not just sharing great food and good tips on restaurants but teaching us valuable and interesting Italian history that made it clear the tour was about far more than just food. Highly recommend!
Flame (short for Fiammetta) took us on such a fun tour around Rome. She was sure to cover all the bases and our family of four (including two teen boys) had a blast learning about the history and traditions. We were so full by the end, but it was absolutely worth it!
This was a fantastic tour and Silvia was great. Very knowledgeable about Rome’s history and the food choices were amazing. We are wishing Silvia a very happy birthday this Tuesday. Looking forward to our next visit
It was the perfect way to finish a 5 day trip in Rome, and hopefully they will be blessed with the same guide we had Sylvia
This was such a great experience. Dan was our tour guide, and gave us so much information on the different neighborhoods around Rome. The food was amazing. Don’t hesitate to book this tour! Grazie, Dan!
This tour was recommended by a friend and I am so happy we did it! Daniela was amazing and made the tour so fun. He shared a lot of great facts, and again just made the r tour so fun! If you’re in Rome, so this tour and hope you get Daniela!
Sylvia Piazzolla was a fantastic host. She combined local history and food to make an enjoyable and tasty experience. She was very pleasant and even helped us secure a taxi for a ride back to the hotel.
This was a fun experience and my family enjoyed it. it was neat to learn Rome's history while walking and getting food too. Drinks included (wine if you desire), which was very welcome on a hot evening. Other reviews said the portions are super generous. We didn't find it to be too much. We definitely had to eat more after the tour. We had suppli, porchetta sandwich, pizza, fried artichoke, and gelato. Everything was delicious (the second pizza was VERY spicy!), but our favorite was the fried artichoke, as that's something that we really didn't expect. Our guide, Simona, was very nice and funny too. She was a great guide and you could tell she was proud to tell the stories of her hometown. Recommend this, though definitely not for small children or picky eaters.
Emilia was wonderful telling us history along the way of some great tastings. We had pizza, gelato, artichoke blossoms and a special sandwich.
