Quittez votre hôtel et longez la Via Appia Antica, cette voie historique, en admirant les collines vallonnées et les charmants villages tels que Castel Gandolfo, la résidence d'été du pape. Rendez-vous dans un domaine viticole local pour déguster 4 vins régionaux d'exception accompagnés de spécialités traditionnelles. Promenez-vous au bord du lac d'Albano, dégustez la célèbre porchetta et savourez le vin local Romanella, avant d'arriver à Nemi, où se trouve le fascinant Musée des navires romains et son lac enchanteur, célèbre pour sa Fête annuelle de la fraise. Itinéraire
Une visite au cœur de la campagne romaine, les « Castelli Romani ». La visite commence à votre hôtel ; nous emprunterons la Via Appia pour admirer la magnifique campagne et les villages historiques tels que Castel Gandolfo, la résidence d'été du pape, et profiter de la plus belle vue sur le lac.
Vous visiterez un domaine viticole où nous dégusterons quatre des meilleurs vins de cette magnifique région, accompagnés de produits locaux.
Nous poursuivons notre visite au bord de ce lac d'origine volcanique pour déguster la célèbre « porchetta » et d'autres produits locaux typiques, ainsi que le vin local « Romanella ».
Continuez jusqu'à Nemi, célèbre pour son festival de la fraise (le premier week-end de juin) et pour son lac baigné d'une atmosphère féérique, sur les rives duquel se trouve le célèbre musée des bateaux romains.
La visite se termine par un arrêt le long de la Via Appia Antica pour découvrir la construction de cette voie et admirer la splendeur de l'aqueduc romain

This was a fantastic tour of the beautiful countryside just a few miles outside of Rome. Exceeded the description in the advert. Too many things to list but the highlights were the wine tastings overlooking a magnificent lake and the extended visit and tour of Pope Leo's summer escape in the hills at Castel Gandolfo. Our private guide, Giuseppe, was very informative and entertaining as was our driver Arturo. Add this tour to your time in Rome and you won't be disappointed.

Amazing picturesque towns and wonderful food and wines. We had no idea these beautiful little villages existed just an hour south of Rome. Antoniella was a great guide and made sure our visit was extremely relaxed and enjoyable.

Escape the hustle and bustle of City Center Rome and get out to the Roman countryside. Beautiful landscapes with quaint little villages around a lake. Charming cobblestone streets and shops in an unpopulated area, what a refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of the city. We enjoyed amazing winetasting at a historic restaurant established in 1882. The same family has owned and ran the restaurant so you can definitely feel family love of this establishment. They have one of the most amazing wine sellers we have visited. Do not miss this multigenerational gem as you enjoy the beauty of the Roman countryside.

We had a great experience on this tour overall. First, I want to highlight our tour guide and driver, Antonietta & Pietro. They were both excellent—very friendly, professional, and never rushed us at any point. Our tour was completely private, just my wife and me. They picked us up right on time at 10 AM from our Airbnb and communication before and during the tour was very good. The drive about 35–40 minutes south of Rome was beautiful, and the places we visited were very nice. The food and wine we tried were also very good and felt very authentic to the region. The only reason this is not a 5/5 experience for us is the visit to the wine cellar, which also serves as a small wine museum. This felt like the most important part of the tour, but unfortunately there was very little explanation about the wines or the history of the cellar. There was a lot to see and many wines displayed, but neither the tour guide nor the restaurant staff explained much about them, which made that part feel a bit confusing and incomplete. Other than that, the experience was wonderful. It’s also worth mentioning that if you are specifically looking for a detailed wine tasting tour, this may not be the best option. This tour is more about enjoying the Roman countryside, visiting small towns, trying local food, seeing beautiful places, and tasting some wines along the way. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a romantic and private day exploring the countryside outside of Rome.

Our tour team of our guide Antoinette and our driver, Pietro were both great. Many stories told and an indepth history of all we saw. We now have 2 more wonderful friends.
