Excursion d'une demi-journée à la voile à Ria Formosa

Fantastic afternoon sailing. Our captain Ricardo was brilliant. Gave us great guidance on how to sail and told us all about this beautiful area. One of the highlights of our holiday. Would highly recommend.

As an algarvia, I love the experiences that love those who visit us. And this day did not disappoint! Nor Ricardo! Rating 5 stars, I can only recommend & I will definitely come back!

Amazing time, lovley tour guide gave great directions on the islands and showed us a great book of the wildlife in the area. Perfect trip, just enough time on each island to enjoy some food and swimming too highly recommend!

Wow what a day!! We thoroughly enjoyed our boat trip out of Olhao in Portugal. The boat was a small ferry which was wonderful, plenty of space and cover which you need on a very hot day. We visited Farol Island - Deserta Island - Cultura Island where we had fresh sardines for lunch, Armona Island for a swim and back to Olhao. I would like to say a special thank you to our wonderful guide, Gonçalo Condado who was very knowledgeable about the area, the marine life (especially the sea cucumbers which we all held!!) and the general area, so a special thank you to Gonçalo. A thoroughly enjoyable day and all for 25 euro - thank you.

We wanted to be out on the water but not in a crowded ferry type noisy boat, and we were not disappointed. The yacht was beautiful especially when we were in the right place to put up the sails. The captain Ricardo was super nice and a great teacher, he let everyone have a go at steering from the helm. There were 6 of us total. We stopped after a while and drifted with the sea which was relaxing and so peaceful with just the sound of the birds, wind and sea. We stopped for 45 mins on the beach and some went swimming. We wished we could have seen some mammal wildlife such as dolphins and different birds but not this trip. we had a good time. If you truly like to SAIL then this is the tour for you.

A very nice and unique experience. A hands on lesson în sailing. The captain offers explanations, answers all questions, and creates a nice atmosphere on the sailing boat. Totally recommend!

A spectacular outing. Ricardo teaches you basic navigation skills, and you can even steer the sailboat under his supervision. He is very friendly and shares interesting things about the place, his work, local anecdotes, and it is clear that he loves his job. It has been wonderful to discover the Ria in his company. An ideal activity for family or friends. We totally recommend it and will gladly return. Thank you, Ricardo, for this experience.

My neighbors invited me to do 1/2 day sailing experience that departs from Fuseta (Ria Formosa). It was lots of fun and really enjoyed the beauty of sailing along the coast of the Algarve. Ricardo was our excursion guide. Ricardo speaks English does an awesome job explaining the running of sailboat (even gives you chance to be the helmsman), and also explains what we are seeing. I had a wonderful time. Also, just in case you are visiting from United States of America. The excursion operator is called “Passeios Ria Formosa”. Last year in September, 2026 when my daughter visited with friends … the sailboat excursion wasn’t available so we did the excursion that takes you to all the islands in Ria Formosa. This excursion starts at 10 am and ends 5 pm. You get to catch lunch on one of the islands and the other islands you have free time to swim or explore the island. This was lots of fun and everyone enjoyed swimming in the beautiful Ria Formosa. The Ria Formosa Natural Park is a large coastal lagoon and is protected nature park. The water reminds me of Hawaii. Again, loved both experiences and plan this year to take my cousin when she visits to see the islands of Ria Formosa (she will be here in September, 2026).
