Visite express des chutes du Rhin Zurich

Description

Basically transport to the Falls. Dragos is an excellent driver. It was very nice, lots of viewing platforms and a nice cruise. Just don’t expect Niagara!!
It was not as described, the original tour guide was not available and gave us a substitute who knew nothing. The description of tour was a “Tour” Guide, 2 hours at the Falls, water bottle etc….. which we did not receive any , we were cut short 30 minutes, advised we could ride the train back, gave us no guidance, I fortunately had done some research and knew about the boats, had to figure that out on our own when we got there, and after doing the ride we rushed back up the hill to make the ride home a little water would have been nice, he did let us go into souvenir shop and buy the 5 Chf bottle! It was just a bad experience through the tour, however we did our best on our own to make the best of it and have some beautiful pictures,
Thank you for your review! We’re glad to hear that, despite everything, you managed to take at least some beautiful pictures. 😊 Just to clarify a few points for future guests: nowhere in the tour description does it state that this is a guided tour at the Rhine Falls. The tour inclusions and description clearly explain that this is a trip to the Rhine Falls, including transportation and the entrance ticket. We therefore want to make sure expectations are clear for everyone booking this experience. Regarding the duration, it’s also clearly mentioned “EXPRESS TRIP” and considering that in the afternoon it’s almost empty, you don’t have to wait in long lines at the entrance, to purchase the tickets, to explore the platforms nearby the falls and optionally to take a 15 min boat ride. That’s why a total duration of approx 1h30 min is more than enough to explore the sight. Another detail: for 50 CHF you’ve paid we’re quite surprised that you didn’t expect a private guide, a red carpet and an orchestra welcoming you? The rate we offer for this semi-private trip is cheaper than the train ticket and we’re surprised to hear that you had so many expectations! Regarding the water: unfortunately, our van does not come equipped with a magical infinite-capacity freezer producing ice-cold bottles on demand. The driver did offer you a bottle of warm water, which you declined. He also pointed out the nearby public fountain, approximately 30 feet away, where you could have filled up with fresh, cold drinking water, as well as the souvenir shop. You chose to purchase a CHF 5 bottle from the shop, which was, of course, entirely your choice. We’re sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. At the same time, we’re happy that you were able to make the most of your visit, enjoy the scenery, take some beautiful photos and leave with a few nice memories. 📸😊 We always encourage guests to carefully read the tour description and inclusions before booking, so that everyone knows exactly what is—and what is not—included in the experience.
This “Tour“ was not as advertised. It was not for the approximate four hour timeframe ( merely 3), there was no water provided, the driver was new and inexperienced and unable to provide important details that were pertinent for our day’s logistics. The experienced “tour operator“ apparently was unavailable and was replaced by a “rookie” who was unable to provide information for us. It was a stressful afternoon with rushed meeting points and we even purchased unnecessary tickets because the tour operator did not advise us properly.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We would, however, like to clarify a few important points for future guests reading this review. First and most importantly: this is NOT a guided tour. Nowhere in the tour description or inclusions is this experience advertised as a guided tour. It is clearly presented as a trip to the Rhine Falls, including transportation and the entrance ticket. We believe the description is quite clear about what is—and what is not—included. The experience is offered at an extremely fair rate of around CHF 50 per person, including a small-group express trip to the Rhine Falls, transportation, and entrance. In Switzerland, that is a very reasonable price for the service provided and cheaper than a train ticket. Regarding the boat tickets: this is not something that can reasonably be attributed to us. You are adult and, when purchasing an optional boat experience directly at the Rhine Falls, you are welcome to ask the boat staff which ticket or route best suits your needs. There are several options available, and the boat operators are there specifically to provide that information. As for the duration, the tour is described as an approximate timeframe. Travel times and local conditions can naturally vary (road traffic, long lines for purchasing the tickets, long lines to enter the Historama and the panoramic view points etc.) and an approximate duration should not be interpreted as a guaranteed number of hours. We always aim to be transparent about what our guests are booking and what they can expect. Perhaps the expectations here were simply a little higher than what a CHF 50 express trip is designed to provide. To put it humorously: we would love to offer a full-day private experience with a personal guide, orchestra, red carpet and champagne—but unfortunately, that is not what CHF 50 gets you in Switzerland. 😊
It was very lovely and beautiful! Thank you to our awesome Romanian driver that I can’t spell his name 😆 We give him 5 stars and also to his boss 🫶
Alex was very informative, we would have missed the museum without his information..Great service and super friendly.
