Ravenna is a beautiful city; I have visited it four times in total. Remarkable are: the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, Sant'Apollinare Nuovo, Basilica of San Vitale, Neonian Baptistery, Dante Museum (a very beautiful interactive museum). The mosaics of this city are truly stunning.
It was a wonderful and interesting tour about the history of Ravenna, its mosaics and secular churches, well worth seeing.
Where to start? Elisa was most charming educated and accommodating! I have wanted to explore mosaics for 50 years plus and was totally overwhelmed to the point I want to comeback and send a sizable hunk of time just exploring more of the very numerous aspects of Ravenna.. Loved loved loved 🥰
This was a wonderful tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with. This is a must do tour if you’re in Ravenna!
Our tour guide, Roberta, was amazing! She was extremely knowledgeable and was very passionate about the history of the mosaics and Ravenna. We learned a lot and had a great time!
A wonder what you see and also the very precise organization. A special mention for the really low prices, compared to the grandeur of the works you visit.
Beautiful experience, Ravenna I did not know but I found a beautiful city with beautiful mosaics and still preserved very bene.Brava guide and beautiful tour Council
Daniela Caponera, takes you inside the story, tells emphatically moments that if you close your eyes you seem to live, listening to her it almost seems that she has lived with the "characters" she tells you. Seeing Galla Placidia again after 40 years was a great emotion. Brava, Brava, Brava.
Wonderful guide, Rita Bertesi, extremely knowledgeable, and most important, still excited about her job. Will recommend it.
Good morning. Thank you! We are delighted that you appreciated the guide Rita. We will pass the message on to her, and we hope to see you again in our region.
Our tour with Sylvia, introducing us to the marvels of Ravenna, gave us a wonderful look at the long and complex history of this important city. Her passion and deep understanding was combined with gentle humour which gave us an awareness of the rich storytelling of history through these extraordinary mosaics. The planning of the tour was perfect, with the opportunity to see a contemporary artist demonstrating the skill required to produce both traditional and modern styles with mosaics. The timing of Sylvia’s tour left us with plenty to explore further before returning to Bologna.
