Really fun hike. Great tour guide. Super nice and knowledgeable. Smooth pickup and dropoff from my hotel (barcelo also excellent). Highly recommend. Moderate difficulty. If youre really out of shape this hike isnt for you. Otherwise. . Do it. Highlight of my el salvador trip.

It’s intense but worth the view! Our tour guide Chamba was great. Take water and something to snack on. Take breaks, wear comfy shoes, take lots of pictures and a walking stick.

I had an amazing trip with Chamba from Tunco Life!! I highly recommend his trips! He was very nice, accommodating, and a great + safe driver. The early start to the hike was perfect to beat the crowds, and the volcano was beautiful! We also enjoyed a beautiful lunch at The Crater afterwards with views of lake Coatepeque. This was such a fun and memorable hike! Chamba is an awesome tour guide. He explained a lot about the volcano, led us safely through the hike in a timely manner, and made sure everyone in the group felt included and comfortable. Chamba brought cool vibes with his energetic personality and great taste in music (which makes a long drive more enjoyable!).
