The hike was amazing but I would like to highlight our guide Fabio! He was exceptionally kind and understanding when unexpectedly we had to change plans mid hike to Telegraph Rock. He provided an alternative hike in the National Park that my husband and I enjoyed more. We did the add on beach option and saw one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil. All around, we had an amazing time thanks to our guide who was patient, kind, and knowledgeable. He made sure we enjoyed our anniversary.❤️ We would definitely recommend this tour, especially with Fabio!
Our guide was Thalles. We had a great experience , he made sure we were comfortable , offered to stop by to grab water and food on our way. Hike was a good pace, we got lots of breaks, photos were beautiful.
Its a very early trip but so worth it, i took the 3am and when we got there there were already another group. So if you want best chances to get good pictures take the early morning trip. Thellis the guide is the best! He took great pictures and gace good information of what we are seeing along the way. I wouldnt do this tour any other way.
This is a fantastic trip, however it is a strenuous hike if you are not used to hiking. The early morning hike is the best . Our guide Samuel was fantastic.
My early morning hiking tour to Telegraph Rock in Rio de Janeiro was truly unforgettable! The hike was a bit challenging at times, but it was worth every step. The journey through the lush forest at dawn was serene, and reaching the top felt like stepping into a dream. The views from Telegraph Rock were absolutely breathtaking—perfect for capturing those once-in-a-lifetime photos! Standing on the famous rock was both exhilarating and slightly nerve-wracking because of how high we were, but the guide was so professional and reassuring that I felt completely safe. There is a photographer at the top as well, but we got there before he did. I cannot image doing this hike daily! This hike is an absolute must if you’re staying in Rio and want to combine adventure with incredible photo opportunities. I highly recommend starting early to beat the heat and catch the best light for pictures. We were the first people on the mountain that day. The tour guide picked us up from our hotel in Copacabana and it was a bit of a long drive but my husband and I fell asleep for most of the drive. Over all it was truly an experience I’ll never forget! In full transparency I am out of shape and I never work out but I made it. Bring water, sunglasses, bug spray/repellant, sunscreen- layers no bags. You can leave your bags in the car during the actual hike. You should bring a bag for the beach and a little blanket to sit on. It took me about an hour to get tot he top as I took as many breaks as needed. The hills are steep! Just do it! You may regret it during the hike but you will be so happy you did it after. We then went to a local shop and got coconut water while looking at an incredible view of the ocean. We visited the beaches after, the water was ice cold, but again I am so happy that I did this experience during my visit to Rio De Janeiro!
Great hike that was challenging but doable. My favorite part was that it was far from the hustle and bustle of Copacabana. The view and pictures at the summit were breathtaking and scared my social media friends and family but it’s completely safe lol After our hike we went to a beach that was clean and not crowded unlike Copacabana Leme and Ipanema. Our tour guide did a great job as well
Was solo on this tour with Fábio and had an absolute blast! Pick up was prompt and right out front my hotel. The hike is TOUGH if u are not a typical hiker just fyi. It is majority uphill, unpaved with bigger rocks. Fábio was very encouraging and didn't mind me needing to take a few breaks along the way due to elevation change. Lots of bugs so definitely bring spray! Also bring water/juice and energy snacks...basically everything they text you. We got to the very top first and I was extremely grateful as I had a moment to enjoy the gorgeous view before taking pics. After taking a few on my phone I paid 20 reais to have the professional photographer take a few. Fábio did not push this in anyway just mentioned it was available but not necessary. The pics came out amazing! The photographer uploads them later in the day but he shows them to you on his camera and will retake/reposition u if needed! The descent down the mountain is much smoother. Once down the mountain Fábio asked if I wanted to still visit a nearby beach, I didn't bring swimwear just out of laziness but I put my feet in and enjoyed Grumari beach sooo much! The beach was hot and the water was soo cool, perfect after the hike! I had asked Fábio if he knew of any place to get fresh juice and he kindly stopped at a local stand for us to take a break. It was much needed and the coconut water was perfect!! He was the best guide sharing all kinds of information and knowledge along the routes we took as well as other suggestions of things to do/see on my visit. I at no point felt unsafe during the tour and highly recommend to anyone!!! Thanks again Fábio!
Highly recommend this trip for anyone looking to get out and explore beyond central Rio. The views are unbelievable and because you go so early when only few or no people are there it feels much more intimate. Went with Eric, who was super on it with the timings, which meant we were pretty much the first people there besides another couple just before the sun began to rise. He clearly loves doing the tour because he was fully of energy, very knowledgable and keen to show as many spots as possible. Even added a quick stop at a bonus beach on the way back. A highlight of my trip to Rio for sure!
The sunrise at Telegraph Rock was absolutely beautiful. The hike is steep but not too bad. The guide Samuel was very nice and took great pictures for me. It was one of the best experiences in Rio.
Amazing experience. I don’t like elevation but so happy I did this. Also, be prepared with a good camera to take some great shots and prepared for the hike 😊 Felipe was really wonderful and thanks again.
