Randonnée sur les ponts suspendus d'Arenal

Description

Unfortunately, the tour guide did not arrive on time. I had booked a tour for 7:30 AM, but by 8:30 AM the guide had still not arrived at the agreed location. When I contacted the operator in Costa Rica, I was first informed that the guide was parking and already at the reception. However, after waiting an additional 10 minutes, I received a video showing that she was still in traffic on the way to the park. Overall, we waited far too long. Guests are expected to be on time, otherwise the tour does not proceed. Therefore, it is not reasonable that the guide was more than an hour late.
Our tour guide, Kathy, was great! She was very knowledgeable and was able to spot animals in the wild that we never would have seen. However, two of the bridges were out due to a storm. This was not disclosed to us before we paid for the hike. That is why I can only give it 4 out of 5.
Easy walk with a little bit uphill. Scenery was beautiful. Guide was great but others in our group were very time consuming for the guide and were very slow to move through the walk. Group should have been split into two. Overall really loved the park and the tour.
It was a great experience, we saw a sloth, snake and some birds. Our guide was knowledgeable, however I would recommend going in the morning to enjoy more wildlife
Our tour guide was Mainor and he did a fantastic job! Not only was he well versed in English and Spanish, he was extremely knowledgeable and very polite. He took his time and made sure everyone was able to see each point. He pointed out a lot of different species along the way and allowed for everyone in the group to look at it up close through his telescope. Not only did he point out all the different wildlife and plants, he was extremely knowledgeable in all of it and very skilled in spotting animals that were otherwise completely camouflaged. He also was kind enough to share all the pictures with the group to make sure everyone had good, nice pictures of everything. He truly made our experience a lot better! I would recommend Mainor as a tour guide 10 times out of 10! I would definitely recommend taking a guided tour instead of a self-guided tour just based on the extra experience and knowledge that was acquired through doing so. Thank you for the excellent experience and we are so glad that we took this tour! It was our anniversary trip and this will be a treasured experience always!
the trip was exactly how it is described. we loved it! amazing experience. would do it again for sure!
The tour was well organized and our guide was very nice. We went in the morning on a sunny day and had hoped to see a lot of wildlife, but really didn’t see much. Most of what we did see (bats, an owl, a snake, ants, tarantula, a frog) was through the telescope of the guide. There are 6 hanging bridges but one was closed, so we had to take a detour. Overall it was a nice activity but be prepared to not see much other than vegetation and a waterfall. There are also nice views from the bridges. We were given snacks on the bus after the tour and there were nice clean restrooms for use before and after.
I had a great tour on Saturday. I chose to go in the afternoon because there’s typically way less tourist traffic at that time. You won’t get to see as much wildlife as you do in the morning but it’s a fair trade off if you want a more intimate experience with the rainforest and hanging bridges. It was only me and another solo female traveler so it was almost a private tour. The tour guide took his time and was very knowledgeable of the forest and wildlife. He even spotted a couple of eyelash vipers, birds, peccary boars, and monkeys. We got lucky! He took awesome photos with a much better high definition camera and shared them us in the end. He was very down to earth and accommodating. I highly recommend this tour!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the hanging bridges. Our tour guide Diego was friendly and very knowledgeable about the plants and animals on the tour. We were lucky enough to see howler and spider monkeys plus some beautiful birds. It was a wonderful way to spend a morning. Thanks Diego and EcoTerra!
Eddy was great! Really enjoyable and educational even in the rain. We liked seeing monkeys, snakes, tarantula and we conquered our fear of heights. Not too scary for those who might be nervous.
