First time on a horse and it was so incredible. Some of the best views I've ever seen and having such a knowledgable and passionate guide really made our experience one to remember forever. Really well taken care of horses and really cute and fun overall. Thank you Robert for such an unforgettable experience, feel very grateful to have met you and ur dogs ^_^
Bucket list ride. Just amazing. Robert and Rachel were so lovely and welcoming. My daughter and I had a wonderful ride up and down the beautiful hills to see the amazing views from the peaks. Amazing horses and pack of dogs/puppies that trekked for hours with us. We wanted to take them all home. A great experience would highly recommend 😍
We are very pleased to learn that you had a great time with us @ Jungle Splash Eco tours! Happy to hear you enjoyed our horses and puppy team! Now you are considered part of the extended Jungle Splash family! 😊 Hope to have you back in the future. Cheers Robert
If I had one tour to pick from all the tours we did, this would be it. Now that's saying a lot as we had an adventure filled week here, covering so much....And when Robert gets his next stuff done we'll be back as well. Think about this - you're not on just a horseback ride (there are lots of services here that do this), but you're tracking about 5 miles through thick jungle (and some filds and pastures) for about 5 1/2 hrs of theb7hr day. Oh, and you get to do it with one of the archeologists who excavated, and then reburied "The Forgotten City" - you want to not only learn, but immerse yourself in Mayan history, wile on a level 5/5 adventure? This is it. Read the other reviews - and then be one to write about it. We will be back!
Literally the most fun I have ever had on an excursion! Robert and his wife Rachel are incredible people, and the horseback ride was so awesome! 10/10 recommend, so fun and exciting!
An experience you will never forget.! This is a real adventure in nature and a treck through the jungle of Belize. This is the real deal.
We were picked up near our hotel and taken to a farm outside San Ignacio. At the farm, we met Roberto and his family. There was just Roberto, my daughter (adult) and me on the tour. The horses were saddled and ready to go. The horses were healthy and well cared for and the saddle and bridle were also in good shape so we felt very comfortable. The day was incredible. We rode through the jungle, past a farm and up and down large hills to great lookout points. We stopped at a cave for a wonderful lunch that Roberto’s wife had prepared for us. We spent time in the cave exploring and finding pieces of Mayan history. Roberto was extremely knowledgeable and provided a lot of information about the area, agriculture, and Mayan culture. We rode for quite a few hours and enjoyed our experience immensely. I would highly recommend this tour.
An awesome experience! All of the guides we worked with were helpful, knowledgeable and kind. This was an excellent way to see the beauty of the jungle and learn this history of Belize. We rode to beautiful viewpoints throughout the trip and explored a cave. Along the way we spotted wildlife including owls in the cave. This was the first time riding for two in our party and they can’t wait to go again. This isn’t your average trail ride, it is so much more! This is a must do for any visitor to Belize!
What an amazing hardcore jungle horseback tour. We went through the rainforest into another rainforest all the way to the top of a forgotten Mayan pyramid. Very cool experience. We also explored a dry cave where we saw ancient Mayan artifacts. The guide Roberto was very knowledgeable and took his time educating us on the rain forest, caves and Mayan history. Would definitely reccomend if you want a serious jungle horseback tour. Also, the lunch the provided was excellent! Five stars.
Unforgettable experience. Cave was crazy and forgotten ruins were so cool. It was my first time horseback riding and my knees hurt by the end but it was a unique experience I’ll never forget. Their dog runty is so cute 😄
This was an incredible adventure. Roberto was very knowledgeable about the region and its history, and was able to adapt to our familiarity and knowledge in a way that made it all feel very accessible and authentic. We loved the horses and the dogs who joined us on the trail. It was not an easy ride (we didn’t expect it to be) but it was 1000% worth it. The cave was an added bonus that ended up being our favorite part. The lunch they served was surprisingly delicious too! My daughter and I are comfortable on horses but we don’t ride super often — we were a little sore but it wasn’t too bad.
