Profitez d'une superbe promenade guidée avec une touche de luxe. Votre Guide local expérimenté viendra vous chercher à Christchurch dans un véhicule privé et vous emmènera à 20 minutes en voiture de Sumner, la charmante banlieue balnéaire de la ville. Ici, vous dégusterez des boissons chaudes dans un café local donnant sur l'océan, tout en écoutant des histoires fascinantes sur l'histoire de Christchurch. De Sumner, vous rejoindrez Taylors Mistake Beach en 10 minutes de route, où votre promenade commence. Le sentier de 8 km longe le bord du cratère, le bord d'une ancienne caldeira volcanique, offrant une vue imprenable sur la côte sauvage du Pacifique, la baie de Pégase et les Alpes du Sud souvent enneigées. En cours de route, visitez des sites historiques de défense côtière de la Seconde Guerre mondiale et une cabane antarctique utilisée pour la formation des expéditions. Un déjeuner pique-nique gastronomique est servi dans un endroit pittoresque avec vue panoramique. Le temps total de marche est d'environ 3 à 4 heures, avec une pause déjeuner détendue de 30 minutes, avant de retourner à Christchurch City dans l'après-midi.

Après avoir été récupéré par votre guide privé dans un SUV, dirigez-vous vers Sumner Beach pour prendre des boissons chaudes dans notre banlieue balnéaire locale. Asseyez-vous sur le pont en admirant l'océan et Cave Rock.
Une belle plage de surf de sable noir, avec de petites plages pittoresques, est le point de départ de notre sentier de randonnée. Votre guide vous fournira des bâtons de marche, des sacs, un déjeuner, des collations et de l'eau avant votre départ.
Promenez-vous autour du magnifique Godley Head, sans aucun doute l'une des plus belles promenades de Chrisitchurch. Cette piste en boucle de 8 km prendra environ 3 heures de marche, avec beaucoup de temps pour s'arrêter et profiter du paysage. C'est une piste bien établie, pleine d'histoire et offrant de belles vues côtières. Vous verrez Scott's Hutt, une cabane antarctique, des emplacements d'armes à feu de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, une colonie de manchots et visiterez Boulder Bay, une plage pittoresque accessible uniquement à pied, où vous dégusterez un pique-nique gastronomique. Remarque : le temps restant correspond au tour aller-retour et au temps consacré aux visites ou aux explorations. Passez la journée à votre rythme avec votre propre guide privé et revenez en ville à temps pour le dîner.

We had a lovely day with Dee. We were met at the airport with a big grin and lots of energy. My husband and I had a perfectly done hike and tour. We enjoyed our delicious sesame slaw and potato frittata for our gourmet lunch with cloth napkin and real cutlery. Dee brought fresh fruit and chocolate snacks. I am the owner of a fun NZ metal water bottle. I’m a birder and we found oyster catchers, spotted shags, eurasian goldfinch and silver gulls to make my day even better.

Our day spent hiking with Emma was absolutely phenomenal! Of course, it is a tremendously gorgeous location. That natural beauty was enhanced exponentially by Emma’s impressive knowledge of NZ history and culture. She was friendly, engaging and easygoing. And she went above and beyond to customize the walk to accommodate my slower pace due to past injuries. Last, but not least, the pre-hike coffee stop and the mid-hike picnic were both delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend including a day hike with Crater Rim Walks!!!

What an absolutely amazing hike! The crater rim walk offered some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever experienced, and it was the perfect way to begin our visit to New Zealand. Our guide Heidi was absolutely fantastic - her knowledge, enthusiasm, and warmth made the entire experience even more special. She brought the landscape to life with her insights and made sure everyone felt comfortable and engaged throughout the trek. The views from the crater rim were breathtaking, and the whole experience set the tone for what we knew would be an incredible trip. We can only recommend Crater Rim Walks✨
We were welcomed by the owner of the company who was lovely. she picked us up on time with a very clean vehicle. She was well equipped with walking sticks a small pack and a wonderful picnic Lunch. She was very knowledgeable and fun. She went at our pace (fast) and took lots of great pictures. I would highly recommend this tour company. Excellent experience! Class act!
