The rafting, which is only approx 90 minutes of the 12 hour day, is amazing, what they don’t tell you is you join other groups and get dropped off 2 hours early and end 3 hours early so you are stuck there that entire time. We would have saved $300 to do ourselves and not sat for 5 hours
Dear Daniel, Thank you for joining our Rafting tour and for taking the time to leave this review. We are sad to hear that you found one of the most fascinating alpine villages to be boring. Interlaken has so much to offer, especially now during summer. We would like to highlight that all timings are clearly communicated in the tour description on Viator. For ecological as well as economical reasons, the merging of groups allows us to offer not only tours to well-known destinations but also activities with fewer guests such as rafting. After departing from Zurich, our group arrives in Interlaken at 10:15 for a short break before continuing the bus ride to the alpine villages. The break in Interlaken offers free time to grab a drink or a bite to eat, use the restroom, or simply stroll around the village. Guests booked for the Rafting activity need to go to their designated meeting point with the activity provider at 11:45. This extended 30-minute break allows more time to have lunch before the activity. After the 4-hour rafting activity, guests still have some free time until the evening meeting point. At check-in, guests receive an informative leaflet with recommendations on what to do in Interlaken. Suggestions include ascending to Harder Kulm by funicular, enjoying a boat ride on Lake Brienz, or visiting the nearby caves. We hope that you still keep fond memories from your stay in Switzerland and to welcome you back in the future. Best regards Ambika from Best of Switzerland Tours
