Réserve spéciale de Maputo - 1 jour

Description

We had a fantastic day with Simao in Maputo National Park. Every moment was a highlight, and the lunch was amazing. The wildlife sightings were incredibly beautiful. A day full of wonderful experiences. We would gladly come back. Simao is an excellent guide.
Would highly recommend this tour. Simao was fantastic, and Maputo Special Reserve is such a beautiful location. The lunch was delicious too.
Thank you for your fantastic feedback and for recommending the tour! We are delighted that you enjoyed Maputo National Park with Simao and that everything—from the wildlife to the lunch—lived up to your expectations. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we’d love to have you back anytime. Warm regards Simao
Simão was a delightful driver, guide and companion on this trip. He is informed and patient. Recommend both Mabeco Tours and Simão.
Suddenly having a day without obligations on a business trip in Maputo. What do you do. Fill in a form on Mabeco tours website and receive an answer immediately. I then spend about an hour whatsapping with Antonio with all kind of questions and the deal was done for the next morning at 6.30 Pedro was an excellent and knowledgeable guide who could answer all my questions and who showed me lots and lots of animals. Impala, red duiker, reed- and waterbocks, hippo's, large herds of elephants, wilder beasts, zebras, giraffes and lots of birds. He even found a fingernail big painted reed frog!! Pedro brought lunch that we ate on the shore of one of the lagoons watching storks, spoonbills and other birds and... hippo's. During the whole trip we saw only a couple of other cars and it felt really pristine. I have been in Kruger, HluweHluwe, St Lucia and several parks in Botswana and Zimbabwe. This one ranks as one of my best experiences. Thank you Pedro and Antonio
Dear Pim, Thanks so much for this review. Yes it was last minute and yes it was hectic to organize but it was 100% worth it because you loved it so much. Our Team is very happy to work hard to provide great experiences to our guests. We hope you can return to Mozambique and visit us again. From all the Mabeco Tours Team, Kind Regards
Antonio our guide was very thoughtful and knowledgeable about Mozambique, the Maputo Special Reserve and all of its various plant and animal species. He was a pleasure to talk to, and knew the park well, leading us around to unique places and showing us much of the park and its wildlife. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone, as the Reserve is quite quiet and unique. I was nice to not run into too many people in the park as it truly felt like untouched wilderness. We loved stopping at the bread shop on the way out and the delicious lunch prepared/brought by Antonio. Take any chance you can get to go on a tour/trip with Antonio!
Dear Jesse, Thanks so much for your review. We are very happy that you enjoyed your trip to one of the most beautiful places in Moçambique. There is quite a lot more to see and for this we hope you can return one day. Wish you all the best. The Mabeco Tours Team
In case you don't read any of what I took time to write below, the message is simple...book anything and everything with Mabeco. They are fantastic. On a recent trip to Mozambique for work, my wife and I ended up doing three separate tours with the team at Mabeco: the taste of Maputo, Maputo Special Reserve and Kruger Tour. The entire experience from start to finish was tremendous. It started with our planning. We had various questions and the team was incredibly responsive on email. It made all of our planning extremely straightforward and easy. Two of the days we were with Simao - extremely knowledgeable, interesting and was so nice with an amazing attitude. He took a lot of pride in his work and it showed. The other day was the Maputo Special Reserve with Antonio. Interesting, knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. Maputo Special Reserve is a completely different experience than Kruger and a must see. We we were truly off the beaten path and Antonio was a great guide. Nothing but good things to say - we would recommend the team for anyone and will surely use them again in the future. Sofia and Mark - Mexican and American in London.
