Naomi was a excellent tour guide as she was so personable and friendly. She knows the city well and gaves us a wonderful insight into the black experience of the founding and growth of Charlotte. I would highly recommend this tour for anything interested in learning about Black History in Charlotte.
This is a fantastic tour! Naomi is an incredible guide who is quite knowledgeable about not only Charlotte's Black history, but national and international history as well! She weaved everything together and made the tour easy to understand and interesting. I also liked how she intentionally introduces you to Black shops in the area. For example, I got a bit thirsty along the walk so we stopped at Lottie's Cafe for one of its specialty drinks. The place was gorgeous & the drink was refreshing! I highly recommend this tour for visitors as well as for those who live in Charlotte! Also, wear comfortable shoes. My phone showed that I took 5990 steps on this tour! It was so worth it!

The tour guide was knowledgeable, sweet, and approachable. I enjoyed the tour and learning more about our culture. At times, it was hard to hear her due her talking forward. Her voice was soft so there were moments I couldn't hear at all while walking. Overall a great tour.

This was a very informative tour that focused on African American contributions to Charlotte. I absolutely loved the tour as well as the tour guide. She was poised, articulate and well versed on Charlotte. I highly recommend this.

The tour guide Naomi was very polite and friendly, and very knowledgeable about every aspect of the culture, community, and history as it related to Queen Charlotte as well as Africa Americans that contributed to the community and society as a whole. The timing and length of the tour was adequate and very satisfying to learn what sounds like the backbone and footprint of Charlotte's existence. I used to live in Charlotte 15 years ago but I was always so busy working that I never really spent time touring it. I was in town for a conference and was able to squeeze the Queen City Black Legacy Walking Tour on my agenda. It was excellent. Naomi did a great job of giving me the history of the area before the establishment of Charlotte and then the reasons for the establishment of Charlotte and showing me different points of interest, keeping the African American perspective in mind. She pointed out some black-owned businesses during our walk that I later went to visit. I previously lived in Charlotte 15 years ago but never knew that Queen Charlotte had some African heritage in her family line. I recommend the Queen City Black Legacy Walking Tour.
