Vous commencerez à Memphis, la capitale originelle de l'Ancien Empire où se trouve la statue colossale en calcaire de Ramsès II dans le musée en plein air. Puis à Saqqara, la nécropole royale où surgit du désert la pyramide de Djoser, la toute première pyramide jamais construite. Enfin à Gizeh, où la forme pyramidale a atteint son apogée monumental avec la grande pyramide de Khufu, le Sphinx, et une promenade à dos de chameau le long de la crête. Déjeuner inclus dans un restaurant local de qualité. Votre visite commence à Memphis, la capitale originale de l'Ancien Empire de l'Égypte antique. Le musée en plein air est centré sur la statue colossale en calcaire de Ramsès II couchée sur le dos, avec le sphinx en albâtre et d'autres artefacts disposés dans le jardin environnant. Votre égyptologue explique comment Memphis a régné sur l'Egypte pendant des siècles avant que la capitale ne se déplace vers le nord.
Direction Saqqara, le cimetière royal qui desservait Memphis. Vous voyez la pyramide de Djoser, la toute première pyramide jamais construite, conçue par l'architecte Imhotep vers 2 650 av. Votre égyptologue vous explique comment la pyramide à degrés a évolué vers les pyramides de Gizeh à flancs lisses que vous verrez ensuite.
Vous continuez vers le plateau de Gizeh, où la forme pyramidale a atteint son apogée monumental. Vous vous tenez à la base de la grande pyramide de Khufu, vous entendez les théories de construction et vous avez le temps au point de vue panoramique.
Votre dernière étape est le Grand Sphinx de Gizeh, plus votre promenade à dos de chameau incluse de 15 à 20 minutes le long de la crête du désert avec un manieur agréé, les pyramides encadrées derrière vous pour les photos. Votre égyptologue vous explique l'âge contesté du Sphinx et ce qu'il représente réellement.

With Jessy the whole day was a very nice memory!! I felt so safe and comfortable, I would do the tour with her again every time! The tour guide was great. He was patient, friendly and accommodating. However there was a mixup with booking. What we booked was tour with lunch and camel ride.However the agent, Egypt day tours said the lunch and camel ride was not included. He was consistent that we have not booked the tour with the extras.

Ayoub our tour guide was great. He had planned the whole day to miss all of the crowds to allow us a more personalized visit. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and took time to explain each locations history in great detail. He also was kind enough to stop to get us drinks, several times during the tour. The driver Sfeena, perfectly navigated us through the busy Cairo streets. Carefully picking us up at locations to minimize unnecessary additional walking, which in hot Cairo weather is appreciated.
It was a wonderfull experience. The agency arranged everything nicely and our guide Ahmed (Amadeo) was excelent.

We had the best time while in Egypt and loved working with Egypt Day Tours. They were excellent and reasonably priced! We found them reliable, attentive and very accomodating. They took care of everything. Our tour guide, Hosny, was the best. Friendly, personable, and knowledgeable about all things Egyptian. We did two days of tours with him while in Cairo. The full-day trip to Giza pyramids, Sakkara, and Memphis and the 2nd day we did the Egyptian Museum, Citadel, Muhammed Ali Mosque as well as several churches. I want to go back and will definitely use them again.
