Pure Trek Canyoning Rainforest Falls Adventure Combo

It was a great family experience and a good confidence builder for the kids.

We took a group of 12, 6 moms and 6 daughters. It was amazing. The guides were the BEST and very accommodating and very organized. We would Highly recommend for anyone seeking adventure. We all tried something new. Our favorites were the monkey drop and jumping off the platforms into the pools.

We had great fun as a family on this tour and felt very safe with the guides! We all had to overcome our fears and be brave. Our youngest daughter was afraid to jump into the water and was great accompanied. Even if she didn’t dare to jump, she really liked it and was proud to have done the abseiling on her own. We can highly recommend the tour! The great photos and delicious food completed the experience.

We had Manuel and several others leading the group. It was an amazing experience. Talk about adrenaline rush! My husband and I will do it again next trip.

This was an absolutely incredible day in the jungle and rainforest, surrounded by (and rappelling in) waterfalls and pools. The guides are top notch, completely coordinated and professional, and always super safe. I laughed, screamed, and had a giant smile on my face all day. You need to love active adventure and getting soaking wet. I am very impressed with this company and would book again in a heartbeat. Go for the photo package, totally worth it for the quality and quantity. Pura Vida! ❤️

We paid for the waterfall and canyoning experience. The waterfall portion is in the morning, and the canyoning is supposed to be after lunch. After the morning, we decided to not do the afternoon even though we had paid for the whole experience. First off, the guides were great (they do well inside of the system created). The safety systems were great for the rappelling (double belay by guides, plus your own control). *The water jumps were at your own risk. The hiking and scrambling between jumps or rappelling was not paved, but jungle style scrambling in spots, and very good. Once starting the actual waterfall portion, there were 3-4 water jumps and 2-3 rappelling sections, with some walking/hiking/scrambling through the woods, and a steel/rope ladder climb. The parts that were bad. Total tour from pickup to drop off ran 7 hours. Approximately 2 hours of that was the actual waterfall experience, from the point at which the safety talk was done to the point you turn in your helmet. Of that 2 hours, around 50% of it was waiting in line for your turn or waiting for others to go so the group could move to the next station…around 45% was walking to the next stop, and the remaining 5% was the action you pay for. Keep in mind, that 5% equals about 10 minutes of jumping or rappelling…out of 7 hours. What about the rest of the time? Approximate time spent (*Pure Trek does claim that the Easter holiday weekend traffic was particularly bad, reducing that time to normal still points to it being mostly not rappelling in time spent) * 10 minutes - action * 1 hour - waiting in jungle * 50 minutes - walking in jungle * 20 minutes - lunch of rice, beans, and salad * 25 minutes of fruit, jungle shower, and waiting to get back on the bus * 20 minutes of people buying pictures of themselves * 3.5 hours - bus rides * 2.5 hours was bussing from your pickup to the other truck pickup, and from the other truck pickup to lunch/sales/base, and then from base to your drop-off * 1 hour was getting onto another truck to go up and back on dirt roads to actual waterfall tour start * 25 minutes of safety talks and telling us about what we would do next After this time split, we did not go on with the canyoning experience since we were completely burnt out by the non-waterfall time spend. The people/guides were nice, and a lot of the people who did it with us thought it was a great experience and found it to even be thrilling (a couple around us were very excited until the bus rides after it was done), but it was not a worthwhile experience for us.

Amazing rainforest canyoning experience in La Fortuna! I had one of the best experiences of my stay thanks to Pure Trek. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The organization is very professional, the team is extremely kind, caring and always listening, which immediately puts confidence. A huge thank you to our guide Mauricio, who was absolutely exceptional! He is reassuring, funny and passionate, and he really helped make this adventure even more memorable. The abseiling in the heart of the jungle is just spectacular... guaranteed sensations in an incredible setting! I recommend this activity 100%, it is clearly the best experience to do in La Fortuna. If you hesitate, rush without thinking!

The repelling was such an adventure. My wife and I did it for our 20yr anniversary and it was such. Fun way to experience an adventure together

We had the best time! We never did it before and it was one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life! This was a birthday present to myself since I’m turning 60! Michael and everyone were so thorough! They made you feel safe and explained everything. So much adrenaline! Nice meeting people on the trip. Oh I can’t forget the delicious lunch before the expedition and coffee and watching the pictures after that they took. We bought the pictures/ videos and so happy we did! Thanks again for a wonderful time and I’m so happy we did this!!!!!

It's a must-see excursion, one of the best experiences of my life. Low to moderate risk. Guide Diego was a genius. Highly recommended
