Les îles Akure et Lundey, à quelques minutes du vieux port de Reykjavik, abritent l'une des plus grandes colonies de macareux moines d'Islande. Vous y arriverez en hors-bord RIB – vêtu d'une salopette, de lunettes, de gants et d'un gilet de sauvetage – et vous vous approcherez suffisamment pour observer les macareux sur les rochers et dans les airs pendant que votre Guide explique leurs habitudes, leurs terriers et pourquoi le littoral islandais leur convient si bien.

Après avoir rencontré votre guide, montez à bord de l'un de nos deux hors-bord RIB rapides et amusants pour une croisière vers Lundey ou Akurey, une île connue pour sa population de macareux, juste au large de Reykjavik. Les macareux nichent entre mai et août sur cette île, qui est couverte de petites collines et de pentes et connue pour sa vie ornithologique colorée. Comme les rives de l'île sont rocheuses, votre bateau d'observation des macareux est spécialement conçu pour vous rapprocher le plus possible du rivage, afin que vous puissiez voir de près ces adorables créatures ! À bord, apprenez de votre guide expert sur les macareux ainsi que sur d'autres oiseaux de mer intéressants que vous pourrez apercevoir lors de la visite, tels que les fulmars boréaux, les goélands, les sternes arctiques et les guillemots noirs. Profitez de regarder les oiseaux de mer voler et plonger dans l'eau. Lorsque vous arrivez sur l'une des îles macareux, tournez autour d'elles pour plus de temps d'observation avant que le capitaine n'éteigne les moteurs, vous permettant de profiter de la paix et de la tranquillité parmi les trésors naturels de l'Islande.

It can be difficult to see the puffins up close unless you’re lucky enough to have them swim by. Nevertheless, it was a fascinating journey and experience. Take plenty of pictures and crop for adorable close-up photos. Highly recommended and great value. Great way to pass an hour waiting for lunch or fantastic shopping in the area. They provide waterproof overalls and life jackets.

Loved this experience! Truly a special time out on the water. Our guide Celina was *wonderful*. She kept us entertained and truly taught us a lot about puffins, this part of Iceland and how the puffins interact with it, and when we even spotted a whale, she knew all about the species and information about its presence in the Reykjavík waters too. She truly made this experience an A+ one! Would absolutely recommend.
The upside was to see a lot of puffins on 2 Islands close to harbour. The dissapointment was a very slow ride despite warnings of danger of breaking the neck and safety equipment like glasses, gloves etc. and a powerfull RIB boat. The tour could have been done with a 10 hp regular boat
