Great intro to Irish music and culture. Really enjoyed the banter and music. Thanks for sharing your experience and culture with the world.
Very entertaining, talented musicians, enjoyed the banter from Larry and Booster, a lot of laughs. Lived up to expectations.
We loved the music and the humor of the two musicians who led our pub crawl. We learned a lot and had an excellent time! Highly recommend this local gem recommended by Rick Steves!
This was a great introduction to the music and pubs in Ireland. The musicians were very talented and had a lot of interesting background knowledge about Irish music. Definitely worth it!
We had a wonderful time. The musicians we were with not only entertained us but also taught us some about Irish music. Everyone in the larger group seemed very entertained. It was a very enjoyable evening.
Great way to kick off our stay in Dublin! The evening starts on the second floor of a local pub, where two musicians/tourguides share their talents while learning about Irish music. After about an hour we walked to the second pub, which is more of a speakeasy where the music and fun commentary continues. Booster and Nile were a lot of fun!
I have attended many of these evenings and this one was exceptional… the artists, Steven and Kevin…. Were so great! Steven played guitar and sang, and Kevin played the violin … both excellent musicians! Their stories were relevant and engaging… they invited several audience members to participate and wow! A pianist played a sing- a -long of a Billy Joel song, another man played guitar and sang Grace, a classic Irish song, and a lovely woman played the harp!! We thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening Bravo!
We had a great evening of music and Irish history… would highly recommend to anyone visiting Dublin!
This is not only a great music tour, but also great history and great craic! We definitely would definitely recommend this tour to others.
This was a fun experience. The promotional description of the activity is accurate. It’s not a traditional pub crawl, but rather a curated visit to two pub venues with two professional musicians who are the performers and the guides to Irish music. They were very personable, very knowledgeable, very entertaining, and excellent musicians demonstrating several different traditional instruments.. The purchase of alcohol was at your own expense and totally optional, which is nice plus it also kept the price down. And, it started relatively early in the evening and lasted a reasonable amount of time, which is different than many of the pub crawls that visit four or five different venues and goes on for hours. That would be fine for some, but it’s not what we were looking for. So we certainly would recommend this to others as a great way to have a bit of exposure to, and education about Irish music in a pub setting. It was a bigger crowd than we had expected, about 30 people or so, but everyone fit in the venue, so it was not an issue. Was still quite personable. Certainly recommended!
