Promenades en calèche officielles de NYC dans Central Park depuis 1979 ™

Description

Really fun way to see Central Park and to hear about its history and features on the way round. It wasn’t completely obvious where to go when we got there as the booking confirmation indicated there would be a kiosk or building to go to but you just have to find someone from the company from the different carriage businesses. The lady who took us round was knowledgeable, friendly and funny which is the perfect combination. An hour was the right length and we were dropped off where we started. It was pricey (like everything in NYC) but worth it. On a side note I used the low price guarantee as the price had dropped by £40 between booking and the tour. Viator made it incredibly difficult to get a a refund for the difference despite the ‘guarantee’. I booked via tripadvisor so was very easy for me to demonstrate that I could get the same tour at the same time on the same day and they did everything they could not to honour it. They outright refused and told me that operators change their prices depending upon demand - this is useless information to me, I know prices change which is why I was happy to book months in advance knowing that I could have the lower price if it dropped. They paid in the end but should have done at the first time of asking having been provided with irrefutable evidence.
This is a cruel practice. Do not take these rides.
They were so accommodating when our original ride was rained out. The ride through the park was fabulous! Our driver, Robert, was so knowledgeable and personable! We enjoyed hearing his stories and facts about NYC and Central Park. We would highly recommend!
Josh and Amazing Grace were excellent guides! Of course, she did all the work while he bossed her around ;). Josh was very informative, personal and funny. Make sure to ask him where to go for lunch. He will guide you straight to the four best pastrami rueben restaurants with NY cheesecake for dessert.
A lovely experience & the horses were so well looked after and monitored by the Central Park ranger if the weather gets to hot or cold. We had a lovely guide who had been doing this for over 40 years and his love of the park and history were excellent, would definitely recommend if you want to see a lot of the park in a short time. A visit to The Tavern on the Green is a must for a nice glass of fizz, cocktail or light lunch at the end , as this is one of the drop off points, also if you want a real treat you could go to the boathouse in Central Park the food is excellent, you won’t be disappointed!
Josh the driver was entertaining and informative. Venus, the horse, appeared well cared for and healthy and was so pretty. Instructions to find the carriages were very helpful
The trip was cancelled understandably. However We were notified by a third person having arrived to meet the carriage. No one has contacted us. No messages received no apology and the help desk telephone no goes to answer phone
Hi Vicki, we notice you are from overseas and we sent an email with a full refund several hours prior to your reservation time. We apologize if we caused any inconvenience. Unfortunately there was an unforeseen circumstance that occurred that day in central park and the park was closed to any tours - we meant well
Very sad to see horses being used for carriage rides in the city. I visited during the time when a horse died, and sadly it was not the first one. In hot weather and busy streets, I do not think this is fair for the horses. I would not support this attraction.
The horse carriage ride did not show up and I did not receive a notice that it was canceled until several hours after the event was to take place.
Our driver was a very pleasant young lady whose horse was named Starlight.I'm sorry I forgot her name but she was excellent and every knowledgeable and all things Central Park! ❤️
