The experience is worth it; it's fun, and they take you to see beautiful places in the desert.
The program itself was quite unorganized sadly. The pickup time they mentioned didnt meet reality sadly, the duration of the trip also didnt reach the promised 2 hours. They put us in a buggy under the burning sun, behind other buggies with running engine, inhaling that horrible toxic gas for over 15 minutes before the tour started. In the description they dont mention that you need to pay the park entrance fee again, what was already included in the program price. 12 solis per person. At this check point you again need to under the burning sun for 10-15 minutes until every person of the group pays the fee. There should be a 5 meter safety distance between each buggies normally, but noone kept this rule, we got hit from the back several times, on of the buggies almost crashed 2 cars on the road as well. The seatbelt on our buggy didnt work at all sadly. The maintainance of the buggies are bad sadly.
Dear Gergo, Thank you for taking the time to share your comments, though I must admit your review reads more like a dramatic story than an accurate account. To clarify, the tour you booked was a shared group service, not a private one. We operate numerous pick-ups each morning, and collecting guests from various hotels can take a few minutes — in your case, the delay was merely three minutes. Hardly what one would call “unorganised.” Regarding the tour duration, the experience does indeed cover approximately two hours, including transfer time to and from the reserve. As for the heat, Paracas is located in the desert — the high temperature and sun exposure are part of the natural environment, not something we can control. The entrance fee to the reserve is clearly mentioned in the inclusion and exclusion section of the tour description. It appears you simply did not read it carefully. Because this is a group tour, vehicles must follow a fixed route in convoy. Naturally, this means some dust — which is precisely why we advise all guests to bring a bandana or face covering. Your complaint about this seems rather selective for your own convenience. As for the alleged “collisions” and “near crashes,” this claim is entirely exaggerated and taken out of context. The route briefly crosses a public road, as is standard practice, and all our drivers are trained and follow strict safety procedures. Of the 120 passengers we operated that day, you were the only one to complain. While we strive to please every traveller, it is clear that no company can satisfy everyone — especially those expecting a private experience within a shared tour. For future reference, we recommend booking private excursions if you prefer complete exclusivity and control over timing, heat, and dust levels. Kind regards,
We had a great time cruising through the reserve. Our guide was friendly and informative. We had fun and would recommend this to see some of the beautiful coastlines in Paracas.
This tour was great, we had an excellent guide. It is a well organized tour with three short stops to take pictures. It is an amazing place to see and the dune buggy was a great way to see it. I highly recommend doing it, take the extended route.
Collected us 15 minutes late, though did answer a WhatsApp call immediately when I called to make sure they were coming. Briefing was brief (there is the go pedal, the stop pedal and how to run the engine on /off). The helmets were bicycle helmets. The seatbelts did not work. Driving them was fun. They were fairly gutless so the chances of having an accident were fairly low. We went to three stops, a big windy beach for 20 minutes, a high point overlooking the red beach for 10 minutes, another viewpoint nearer the red beach and back to Paracas along the main road.
Convenient location and a guide who looked not for our safety crossing streets etc.. Not a lot of info along the ride but great stops and dynamic views. There was just us and the guide so the pace was nice.
The guide's English wasn't great, but he did his best. Afterwards he apologized for it, but it was OK for us.
We got to place and we’re set with 3 buggies. 2ppl per buggy. Within a block first buggy broke down. Was replaced. We went on. And when we got to park another buggy could kot go full speed. They tried fixing it many times. Too many times in my opinion. We wasted half hour of tour before they sent for a replacement. Equipment was not what it should have been. Guide was good. I know he felt bad.
Terrible experience. Buggy broke down over 6 times went through 3 different buggys and the route was not the one pictured. Advertised was a costal beach side buggy ride but we never drove on the beach at all just beside a cliff close to the ocean. 3 stops at 15 minutes each to “site see” so really the buggy riding was only about an hour not 2. Would not go again and would not advise. Also we were not the only couple whose buggy broke down and when someone’s buggy broke down the whole group had to wait which made what should have been a 2hour tour close to 4hrs. Las Adventure won’t give our money back so I would stay away from this! Hopefully TripAdvisor will make things right with us!
Very fun experiences. Drivers were super nice. The value of this tour is worth it. Lots of tourists come to visit. Would suggest to get a taxi or driver to get to this location
