Luis was an amazing tour guide and really spent the time doing what we needed him to do. It's ideal to do this private tour because you really can see what you want to see and learn what you want to learn
Thank you, Mike! It was an honor to welcome you to Antigua Guatemala. We hope to see you again on your next visit!
The care Fabio and JJ put to make our 16-day tour is unmatched. We wanted a blend of hikes, cultural sightseeing, and off-the-beaten track experiences—they met and exceeded our expectations. JJ, our guide, is just the best. He is passionate, friendly, and sympathetic: everyday he shared with us the plan, the schedule, and a plenty of anecdotes we still treasures (unforgettable the chipichipi!). And not just that: as soon as he understood our curiosity to taste local food, he quickly pick that up and made us visit local markets and helped us taste and buy whatever we wanted. He is a savvy guide, a safe driver, and an amazing person to have chats with. Overall, the best toured experience my partner and I ever got. If you're looking for a well-curated schedule tailored to your needs and for an amazing guide, do not think it twice!
Thank you! We were honored to welcome you to Guatemala. We're delighted you chose to travel with us and hope to see you again soon.
This was an incredible tour, so glad we did a private tour and could spend time going into specific details and topics. We loved the roof Iglesia de la Merced (addional cost, there no pressure to do it, but worth it). At the end we really had a great sense of Antigua and Guatemala more broadly. Highly recommend
Amazing! Thank you for trusting us.
Very interesting! So much history and our guide was fabulous! He knew so much about all of the history from Mayans to present day.
That’s wonderful! Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re absolutely thrilled that you enjoyed your tour in Antigua!
Our guide, Sergio, was very knowledgeable and passionate about Antigua. We did get a lot of useful information from him. He was punctual and arrived at our hotel at the designated time. The main reason I am giving him only 4 stars is because even though ours was a private tour, he tried to add two others to our group via one of his friends. Once the couple found out that they were about to join a private tour for a cost higher than what we paid for, they quickly left. I thought that part was was quite shady. However, after that, everything went smoothly.
I’m very sorry to hear that. As an agency, we were not aware of this situation. We have already spoken with Sergio to ensure this does not happen again.
Our guide was just…average. He just stated a lot of facts rapidly, rather than connecting them to a story. It was okay but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it.
We appreciate your honest feedback. We're committed to learning from this and will be implementing improvements to ensure a better experience for our future travelers.
Unfortunately I have to be honest - neither my husband or I were a big fan of this tour. Our guide Celestino was very nice, but he was quite quiet, and didn’t teach us too much about Antigua as a whole. Also, we went on New Year’s Day, and a lot of the usual spots were closed. This was kind of surprising since it was a walking tour and they didn’t give us a heads up when we were booking the tour that this would be the case. Also, we had to ask to go to certain spots we had read about online that we thought would be covered. The only part I really enjoyed was a stop at JadeMaya, where we learned about jade from an employee of the store. I just honestly wouldn’t recommend this tour as it wasn’t too engaging.
I understand, and thank you very much for your feedback. It may have been an off day for our guide, Celestino, as this can occasionally happen. We sincerely apologize for what occurred and truly appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We will take this into account and work to improve for future tours.
Great explanations of all the sights in Antigua. Learned so much we otherwise would have missed on our own.
Thank you, Chris. We’re glad you enjoyed Antigua and were able to take full advantage of your time in Guatemala.
It was nice but the itinerary wasn’t done to the last pint skipping two stops. I guess because the two hours were up but the guide didn’t even told us I just knew it because of the itinerary.
Our private tour is flexible, and we adapt the route according to each client’s preferences rather than following a fixed itinerary. We apologize if certain places were not covered during your experience, and we will use your feedback to improve our service for future clients.
Guide was amazing. We went through the traditional market, walked all through town and saw almost all the major historical buildings
Amazing! Thank you, Kim, for exploring Antigua Guatemala with us.
