La cour de la « Pigna », créée à partir de la zone du XVIe siècle du « Belvédère »
La Sphère dans une Sphère" d'Arnaldo Pomodoro aux Musées du Vatican est un chef-d'œuvre sculptural saisissant qui orne le Cortile della Pigna. Cette œuvre captivante présente une grande sphère de bronze avec une surface texturée et fracturée, révélant une plus petite sphère à l'intérieur. Le jeu d'ombres et de lumières sur les motifs complexes ajoute à son allure envoûtante. Symbolisant des thèmes de complexité et de profondeur intérieure, la sculpture de Pomodoro aux Musées du Vatican témoigne de la convergence de l'art, de la spiritualité et du sens profond au cœur de l'une des institutions culturelles les plus renommées au monde.
La chapelle Sixtine tire son nom du pape Sixte IV della Rovere (pontife de 1471 à 1484) qui fit restaurer l'ancienne Cappella Magna entre 1477 et 1480. Il est connu dans le monde entier à la fois pour être le lieu où se tiennent le conclave et d'autres cérémonies officielles du pape (dans le passé aussi quelques couronnements pontificaux), et pour être décoré de l'une des œuvres d'art les plus célèbres et célébrées de la civilisation artistique les fresques de Michel-Ange.
La plus grande basilique du monde abrite également des chefs-d'œuvre du monde entier comme la célèbre Pietà de Michel-Ange ! il abrite même une crypte souterraine pour les Papes, dont on peut visiter (non disponible le mercredi matin en raison de l'audience papale) La basilique a une grande influence de Michel-Ange et vous pouvez voir son travail d'art partout. La basilique a été construite à l'origine au-dessus de la tombe du prince des apôtres, où le pape se rend chaque Noël ou Pâques.

Booking the private Vatican & St. Peter's Basilica Early Bird Tour with Viator was a breeze from start to finish. We were a group of 5, including 2 teenagers. Azzurra is lovely. Knowledgable. Personable. This review doesn't reflect on her personally in any way. I booked with city eyes. To spend $ 700 and think this was in any way "private" or "before the crowds" is in no way accurate. We stood in line in the sun just like everyone else. This is City Eyes verbiage "Imagine stepping into the hallowed halls of the Vatican Museums when they are still uncrowded, feeling the profound spirituality before the daily crowds arrive. This is the heart of our Vatican Museums Early Morning Private Tour, a journey designed for those who seek a deeper connection with art and history.". This is so far from the truth as to be fraudulent. I'll show you in the pictures. So sorry Azurra, but this was a ripoff.
Thank you for your feedback. We truly appreciate your words about Azzurra and are very happy to know that you found her knowledgeable, personable, and lovely. That said, we would like to respectfully clarify a few important points. The experience is private because it includes a dedicated private guide for your party. It is also a “before the crowds” experience because your tour entered at the very first entrance time of the day, when the Vatican Museums open and before any earlier visitors are already inside. Even at the first entrance of the day, the Vatican Museums may admit many visitors, especially in high season. The number of tickets released for each time slot is decided directly by the Vatican Museums, and no tour operator has control over that. However, entering later would mean entering after all previous time slots are already inside as well, which makes the Museums much more crowded than at the first entrance. Regarding the line, this was the security line for visitors with reservations and tickets. Security checks cannot be skipped for obvious reasons. The line for visitors without tickets is a completely different line and, during very high season, can take 3 to 4 hours. That is not the line you waited in. The price of the experience reflects several elements: a private licensed guide with 20 years of experience, skip-the-line Vatican Museums tickets, mandatory headsets, fast entrance to St. Peter’s Basilica through the Sistine Chapel, the St. Peter’s Basilica ticket, and, in your case, private hotel pickup with a Mercedes van. It also reflects the work of our office team, who organize guides, tickets, logistics, custom requests, and assistance before and during each experience. For these reasons, we are sorry to read the tour described as a “ripoff.” CityEyes has been offering private Vatican tours for more than 20 years, with thousands of 5-star reviews from guests who have appreciated the quality, organization, and value of these experiences. The price paid is also in line with similar private Vatican experiences of this level. We are sorry that your expectations were different from the reality of visiting the Vatican Museums in high season.
